  1. The Campaign It was rather crude almost the entire time, but it was pretty funny.
  2. Fanfare for the Common Man (full version)- Emerson, Lake, and Palmer Karn Evil 9- Emerson, Lake, and Palmer Now that I think about it, pretty much anything by ELP. Soul Sacrifice- Santana (at least on the Woodstock version)

  4. While the list is fake, I would be fine if they came to the Giant Center. Only about an hour drive for me, so it would be great.
  5. What's up with that? What's up with that? What Country are you guys in? The U.S. Strange that it's blocked.
  6. I'm a younger fan, but here it goes. I first heard Rush when I was in 8th grade, when my brother bought Rock Band 2. Sometime in the game, I heard 'The Trees' for the first time. A few days later, I saw Rush's greatest hits album (The Spirit of Radio), and decided to pick it up. I liked everything on it, but wasn't a die-hard fan yet. I got hooked when my brother brought home a copy of 2112 about a year later. I became addicted after that and they officially became my favorite band.
  7. delayed response is delayed. No, it was "Ray Danniels" I didn't even know you could make that from the letters.
  8. I do suppose your right about Greame. Looking back, I've heard stuff live when he was still in shape to do it, he was really damn good. And I love his poems. And he was really funny. Did he use the joke about his hair, teeth, and the peace sign in your concert? As for the spotlights, I guess it varies show to show. At the Baltimore show, they were on the whole time and on the members. I wish I didn't have to leave the show early, for there were still great songs to hear. Could you tell me what they did after "Higher and Higher"?
  9. Went to see The Moody Blues earlier tonight. I didn't get to see the whole thing due to family being alone back home, but what I saw and heard was amazing! Justin and John's voices have not deteriorated at all over time. It was so good in fact that I was worried a little bit that they were lip-syncing until they got to the third track :D. They played from a variety of their albums, from the 80's stuff back to their original first album songs. My favorites were "Other Side of Life" and "Steppin' In A Slide Zone". They surprised me a bit by playing some lesser known songs, like "Gypsy (of a strange and distant time)", "Peak Hour", and, in particular, "Higher and Higher". It was a fantastic show. I have only two complaints. First, their drummer, Graeme Edge, is rather pointless to have on stage. They have a touring drummer with them that plays almost everything, and could do everything if it weren't for the fact they want Edge to do something. He basically "drum-synced". Secondly, there were spotlights on the three original Moody Blues members the entire damn time. I get it after the first song, they're original members. You don't have to have the spotlights on them the whole time.
  10. I edited it a little bit. Ron Swanson going in circles got a bit stale after a while. You didnt need to do that, just I hate getting giddy I found out the same with any animated avys, never lasts long Thanks for the Moody's reminder! :hail: the pic was getting old. I'll probably replace it at some point when I get my computer to load Señor gif or some site like that. Canadian police chase is staying, though. Also, you're welcome :d13:
  11. I edited it a little bit. Ron Swanson going in circles got a bit stale after a while. I need to get Threshold of a Dream. I haven't heard much off of. As for concerts, their currently touring. I feel lucky that I get to see them when they come down to Baltimore in a few weeks.
  12. I haven't heard a lot of people talk about them on here, so I was wondering how many people here listen to The Moody Blues? These guys have to fall in as my second favorite band. I love their experimentation with orchestras on "Days of Future Passed" in particular, and many songs are masterpieces. They're one of the few bands outside of Rush that I like nearly every song by. I can't wait to get to see them in concert in a few weeks
  13. I don't see it happening. The grammys are a bigger popularity contest than the RRHOF IMO, and with Rush just now getting nominated for that... That, and I could imagine people being like: "Rush? Oh, you mean that boy band, right?"
  14. So boots count? My favorite is the intro to driven on the 'Bigger and Better in Texas 1996' boot. "Younger ones, I hope you have all used the bathroom, older ones, I hope you have taken your appropriate medication".
  15. Down here in South-central PA, we've had the power go out 4-5 times. It's on currently, obviously, but the winds have been high since around 11:00 this morning. Thery're still going now. I'm praying the most for those right on the coast right now, especially NYC. Most of Manhattan is without power, the Hudson is flooding, a power substation exploded, and a crane is dangling from a 90 story building, and a building facade coming down. Some serious stuff goin' down. Edit: that didn't like the pics apparently. I'll get em later
  16. Under the sink would have made a better place for the corpse than the washer, don't ya think?
  17. Signals has been one of my favorites, and currently ranks number 2 on my list. I feel that this, with the exception of Countdown, is a lyrical masterpiece. Music wise, the addition of synth without reaching the levels it is used in proceeding albums is excellent, and I can never get enough of this. From beginning to end, this is a fantastic album that I can always listen to.

  20. That's sharpie?! That first one looks great! only problem I see is that Alex's right hand blends into the guitar body, but other than that, fantastic! This is my favorite of the three. The second one looks great as well. I think you did particularly well with the snakes, arrows, and angels (I think they're angels). The third one looks pretty darn good also. I'd love to see more of your work!
  21. QUOTE (Snaked @ Oct 18 2012, 09:04 PM) The first thing I thought of when I first heard the song was the hand on a clock. It kinda looks like an arrow... "The hours tick away, the cells tick away" On that note, what do the cells represent? I'm thinking it might be something like cells dying off, but is there something deeper than that? As for 32ford's question, I'd have to agree with MusicalAbby2112 with the arrow representing the clock hand always moving forward.
  22. I said I played this song so many times before That the melody keeps repeating Growing new ideas, flowing chords and notes Like a mountain river bleeding

  24. QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ Oct 16 2012, 10:37 PM) QUOTE (waluigithewalrus @ Oct 16 2012, 08:20 PM) QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ Oct 5 2012, 02:55 PM) QUOTE (waluigithewalrus @ Oct 3 2012, 11:23 PM) I'm going down to see The Moody Blues in Baltimore sometime in December, I can't remember the date right now. Should be a fun show. Lucky! Moody Blues aren't coming anywhere near Ohio How close do you live to Akron? Apparently, they're going to be there on December 3 this year. http://www.moodybluestoday.com/index.cfm/p...tent/pid/401891 True... I actually meant anywhere near Dayton The closest is Indianapolis... but that's a weeknight. Ah, I see. That sucks man. Hopefully you get a chance to see them in the future.
