  1. i see it all the time at the used bullshit store I shop at
  2. the passion certainly shines through. I can't believe any self-respecting heavy metal fans out there could possibly not like the di'anno material. a lot of people talk about this stuff like it's norwegian black metal recorded in a forest
  3. great job. might get a bit more traction if you post some van halen or motley crue ;)
  4. rush doing 90 minutes of trump's material
  5. hell, ELP's music is definitely more... eventful... than floyd
  6. Ever escape your own mind only to find yourself outside a department store? Did I hurt your feelings? awfully sassy for pushing 70!
  7. Thanks for clarifying that early in the thread. Bathory is not exactly a fountain of information -- he composes his posts and threads assuming we already know the full story. I figured this thread would serve multiple purposes. 1. there's probably not a dre thread already 2. it is sad that he has had an aneurysm 3. it will be sadder if he passes
  8. Porcupine Tree popular? This is the only place I've ever heard of them. Their last album hit the Top 30 in the album chart in the US. that's because only f***ing rush forum geeks still buy CDs, dude I mean... kinda true, lol. yeah, myself included. I don't own anything by wilson or PT though. I might buy the sky moves sideways if I found it in a second hand shop. they have other good stuff, I just don't really listen to them
  9. most of the bands I actually hate would be obscure here (arcade fire, the decemberists, mumford and sons, etc). I don't have a taste for a lot of the hair metal or AOR stuff people around here like, but I also didn't grow up in the 70s and 80s so I've never lived in a world where people gave a shit about journey

  11. hemispheres is good enough that it makes COS, 2112, and AFTK seem clunky and amateur in comparison, although I would definitely miss those records
  12. assuming in this scenario I'm not allowed to stream the other rush material, I'd go for the most variety without sacrificing quality. hemispheres, moving pictures, and grace under pressure
  13. Same here, but even that one needs some trimming. Yeah but it's a bit long. Maiden need to find a way of bringing back the excitement to their albums that they had in the 80's. testosterone shots
  14. shrek is deep. it's totally ironic in a lot of ways and skewers its own genre. it deals with themes like class conflict, isolation, conformity.
