  1. Woohoo!! No complaining here. Kid Gloves kicks ass. Red Lenses is a fine song. I've seen the guys almost 40 times and only got 20 seconds of RL for 1 tour. I'll take them over repeat songs any day.
  2. I tried the Triumph, but this just felt better to me. https://www.youtube....h?v=-u_6rBdJgUQ
  3. GLEEEEEEEE!! You need to get in your car, or on the train, or in the plane. If you don't, you have already seen your last Rush concert. It is what it is. Unfortunately.
  4. We're under 3 weeks here and everything is still pretty tight and buttoned up on the Rush ship. I'm shocked. They are in Los Angeles with millions of other ears around and all we have is the 1 instance of over-hearing some tunage. The more time that goes by as we get closer to May 8, the more I think we may be in for some treats and they're working hard to keep it quiet. FOH has basically disappeared around here. That, to me, means something. BTW: My apologies. I said months ago they'd be up in Hartford in the late spring WAAAAAY back in late 2014. I was off by a couple days. The Boston date is just after the equinox. Hartford didn't make the cut for the shortened tour length.
  5. I'd like to hear RTB one more time. It's been rested. In a perfect world they play RTB one night and Dreamline the next.
  6. They're playing Prelude. That's the exciting part. Far Cry will probably be the only S&A song, though I'd love my some Armor & Sword.
  7. Ugh. I do not like Far Cry. BUT the only tour I missed since GUP was CP, so Prelude will be awesome!
  8. I'll take what I can get! A segment of The Necromancer, Bacchus, Bastille Day in a medley with Headlong Flight. If they can shoehorn Superconductor into Xanadu, they can do Headlong Flight into Bastille Day or vice versa.
  9. I'm fine with the idea. The decade has been largely ignored the last few tours. What would I like to hear? from RTB: Dreamline, Bravado from CP: Animate, Cut To The Chase, Alien Shore, Everyday Glory from t4e: Test For Echo, Driven, Totem
  10. It's slightly over rated and ridiculously over played. I still give it a solid 8.5/10. Not quite a 9 though. It's one of those songs you know by the 1st millisecond that hits your ears........and therein lies the secret to it's mass appeal.
  11. Your best bet would be to send a few questions to Anthem and hope they forward it to Neil. Anything attempted directly will lead to your name being added to the creepy guy list NP keeps.
  12. The hints are rolling in, and everyone's set lists are in tatters. It's pandemonium for guys like me, l2k, and many others. Let's compile the information we have.....SPOILERS AHEAD!!! 1. It sounds like we're in for a longer set again, ala t4e tour. Probably a good 10-15 minutes more music than last tour. 2. Alex says they are preparing 35 songs. Reality says 32 or 33 when you factor in the lerxst over stating factor index which is currently at .93 3. As many as 6 or 7 slots will have rotation. I'm sure that could go down by the time rehearsals end. 4. The rehearsal photo shows Fenders, Ricks, and maybe a double-neck. 5. There was 1 song listed on a pc screen, blah, blah, blah......... Time to rethink my sets..........and watch @midnight
  13. Xanadu to open the 2nd set could be epic with Lerxst doing the full intro.
  14. Counterparts is top 5 as far as good 'sounding' albums go. The Caveman really pulled it out of the boys. BUT, the BEST 'sounding' Rush album is Permanent Waves. The perfect blend of power, clarity, tone, mixing, etc.
  15. And.........every album represented........I think NEVERMIND. No VT
  16. 2112 Overture Limelight Head Long Flight Cut To The Chase Driven Distant Early Warning Time Stand Still/Bravado Malignant Narcissism Jacob's Ladder (slightly shortened) Tom Sawyer The Spirit Of Radio Dreamline/Subdivisions Show, Don't Tell Roll The Bones/Animate Marathon/Force-10 New World Man YYZ with drum Solo Natural Science Xanadu By-Tor & The Snowdog---> The Necromancer (instrumental section w/Alex Solo)---> Working Man La Villa Strangiato
  17. I like it dt, but add up the minutes and you'll find you need to trim a decent bit. 1st set at 75 minutes is a solid 15 minutes too long. 2nd is probably 10 minutes long. Encore is 15 minutes, tops the last number of tours. Trim it and see what you get. I'd like to see it. I'm gonna give my set a final looking over and repost it.
  18. And so it begins in earnest. It's time to get serious.
  19. Hey now! I'm not claiming those songs will be played. I was just giving an example.
  20. It actually makes sense if you think about it. Take 4 song slots and use 8 songs from the old stuff to fill them. All get performed on the tour, but Geddy only has to worry about 4 each night. Do them in the 2nd set after he's good and warmed up. Some might consider this example blasphemous, but I know I'll be hitting Newark before MSG if this scenario holds true......ticket sales would benefit a bit, too............. Night A By-Tor/Necromancer medley Cinderella Man Hemispheres Prelude A Passage To Bangkok Night B Xanadu The Trees Beneath, Between, & Behind Bastille Day I'm assuming that 2112 Overture, La Villa, and anything off of PeW would be played every night. I avoided the 1st album because it's just a gut call on my part. I just think they find it too immature at this point.......but I'd love to see What You're Doing or Here Again with the extended Alex solo and old echoplex pedal.
  21. Top ten overrated.........hmmmmm..... 1. Far Cry 2. The Garden 3. One Little Victory 4. Stick It Out 5. Nobody's Hero 6. Cold Fire ( I enjoy the rest of CP, btw ) 7. Manhattan Project 8. Tom Sawyer 9. Force-10.........which actually kicks ass live. 10. Working Man
