  1. I bought the keychain and the drawstring bag. They are both really excellent quality. We'll be ordering shirts here and there as we have extra money. We spent way too much on swag last tour and had to reign it in a bit this one...especially since I bought the CD, vinyl AND the book before the concert.
  2. Glad there is youth keeping the art of drumming alive! I'm always going to be partial to my favorite drummers (amazing or almost amazing) Peart, Taylor (Queen), Copeland.
  3. I sent in a blue Sharpie. Was signed in black and didn't get the marker back. Oh well. I had a piece of cardboard and two bubble envelopes that were like 12.5x15 or something like that. It worked and it all came back just as I sent it.
  4. I'm about 8 chapters in and it's keeping me drawn in. I was feeling the "oh, come ON!" with the lyrics placements here and there...but, it's what makes it special to Rush fans. I think I enjoy it purely because it's clearing up the lyrics for me. This album, unlike a lot of their other albums, kind of NEEDS a story behind it so it all makes sense. 2112 was pretty well laid out within the song itself, CA needs a little more clarification, and from a marketing standpoint, they couldn't have done a better job. I'll continue to read it. I do have to agree with whomever said Neil should have just taken this task upon himself. I have enjoyed Ghost Rider and Far and Away.
  5. QUOTE (32Ford @ Sep 14 2012, 07:37 PM) In today's mail from the Pittsburgh show. NICE!!!! So awesome!!
  6. I'm kind of a blind follower of the band, so I was just happy as a clam to be there. I loved hearing songs that I wasn't expecting to hear (I refrained from reading spoilers). I had been hoping for something very different from Time Machine and I got it...so I'm good to go!
  7. I was a second-timer....does that count? First concert was last tour.
  8. Awesome!!! Are you all going to share photos of them??? PUHLLLLEEEEEEEEEEZZZE????
  9. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Sep 14 2012, 11:31 AM) Great pics, but you think you could have moved around the stadium a bit! In this day and age, that probably would have gotten me kicked out with my camera confiscated! Sad world we live in.
  10. Anyone else get theirs? We live 2 postal days from Pittsburgh, so they would have sent mine out on the 11th...hoping to see some more pop up here soon!
  11. It's our last name... To the Misners. I'm willing to bet Geddy wrote that...he seems to have the heaviest hand out of all the signatures.
  12. Yep, I love my Canon PowerShot for that very reason. I had bought one of those Nikon pocket cameras on sale and it went back the next day. I could not stand shutter lag. I ponied up the dough ($400) to get my PowerShot and never looked back. This was the first time I have ever used it for video. I kind of wish I had tried it out before I bought my FlipVideo camera (I do love it, though and got it for $80). If only I could sneak in my arsenal...heheheh...Canon 5D and pro glass that range from 17mm to 200mm. *sigh* I'll just have to enjoy what the band posts on their website.
  13. QUOTE (FOH Lights @ Sep 14 2012, 11:03 AM) Hey, you got a shot of me in #105. Middle far right, just behind some goobers who were standing up, talking into headsets, and pushing buttons all night. Talk about annoying! I THOUGHT that was you!! Now, THAT show was a sell out crowd, am I right?
  14. Thank you, Thunder! Lightroom is an amazing tool for a photog!
  15. Funny you mention Alex's hair...I was thinking the same thing going through these photos. I THOUGHT he had a lot MORE on Tuesday night! Ha!
  16. 4.22.11 Baltimore, Maryland. I had never processed these...just one lone photo. Since I processed the ones from Tuesday night, it got me wanting to go through all these again. Time Machine was definitely very colorful with the lighting. I love how these turned out! Just wish we had a better view, but it is what it is. Rush - Time Machine Tour - Baltimore
  17. Nnnnnooooooo! Queen should have retired upon Freddie Mercury's death. INXS should have retired upon Michael Hutchence's death. Long time popular bands that are augmented and continue on with their original name just drips greed in my opinion. If it is REALLY about the music, continue on as something new and don't destroy the legacy it took decades to create. The guys have already stated that they will essentially call it quits before they become a caricature of themselves...which is all right by me. I wish they could go on for eternity, but I would rather they bow out on top. Nothing pains me more than admitting to liking a band that really doesn't exist anymore...or have just become a joke because they are trying to outlive their shelf life.
  18. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Sep 13 2012, 09:23 PM) If Neil is addressed to sign it, expect it to be addressed to YOU, i.e. "To Joe Shmoe", all so it will diminish its value/resellability. Such a ridiculously petty mindset of someone revered as being a "great", intelligent and successful- but really is someone tremendously cynical and insecure. I specifically asked for my cover to be personalized for us. It doesn't have to have any monetary value...just sentimental. I've acquired very few autographs in my lifetime, and none of them had any staying power in my heart...this baby is going in a frame to be displayed in my home!
  19. Thanks, Seven! Drgrendel...what are YOU shooting with? Those are awesome!
  20. Beautiful! I'd love to have close floor seats. *sigh*
