  1. Found some more... http://www.freethesheets.co.uk/images/newquaylarge/beanypissing.jpg http://www.freakingnews.com/pictures/80500/Little-Girl-Plugging-a-Leak-in-Dam-80839.jpg http://www.metallurgist.com/images/NaturalGasLeak/NaturalGasLeak1_LARGE.jpg
  2. QUOTE (presto123 @ May 31 2012, 06:17 PM) Best since the 80's is looking like a possibility. Like I said, Moving Pictures 2. I will not say it again, don't want to jinx it.
  3. QUOTE (rushgoober @ May 31 2012, 06:13 PM) The only thing I immediately didn't care for was what I head with BU2B2 - not crazy about the singing or the lyrics (even though much of it was hard to discern) - otherwise, VERY promising! I sensed that was part of the bigger story - according to one of the Alex interviews, Neil felt it was important to briefly revisit BU2B after the character has been put through the wringer...
  4. Done listening for now, I'm very excited -- it's going to be a long 12 days. I love how the story seems to build with intensity, but then ends in a very reflective manner. Dare I say, Moving Pictures 2. (is that like calling a no-hitter in 7th)
  5. QUOTE (Rush-O-Matic @ May 31 2012, 03:56 PM) Holy crap. http://www.walmart.com/ip/20923974 The Anarchist ROCKS - very 80s opening with a modern polish.
  6. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ May 31 2012, 08:56 AM) Do you think there is a warehouse somewhere filled with inflatable rabbits, dryers and sausage makers? I would love to see some of those random props brought out on stage... Alex has them stored in his condo in Florida. The one he never visits anymore.
  7. QUOTE (snowdogged @ May 29 2012, 06:01 PM) I'd personally like to see something really trippy as opposed to some silly video. My favorite openings were when they opened with the Three Blind mice song in the darkness. There was not a lot to it but I found it quite trippy hearing Three Blind Mice in the dark and then they'd start playing The Spirit of Radio as the lights on the stage come on at the same time. Futuristic, steampunk, with nudity.
  8. QUOTE (greg2112 @ May 31 2012, 05:39 AM) There are few things more irritating when youre at a show and some killjoy behind you keeps yelling to sit down. Total load of bullshit. If everyone in front of you is sitting down, and the people to your right and left are sitting down, and you notice your entire section is sitting... Well, free speech and maybe even some free flying beer might be headed your way. Soak it up. I'm always in sections where everyone stands, so no one complains when I sit down during the more cerebral (slow) songs.
  9. QUOTE (treeduck @ May 31 2012, 01:23 AM) QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ May 16 2012, 06:02 AM) As I said before, I wouldn't doubt if Lifeson is in a spoof of A Clockwork Orange in one of the concert vids that's played between songs..."There was me, that is Alex..." Malcolm McD might sue Alex and set the Florida Police on him again! Don't tase me bro!
  10. QUOTE (treeduck @ May 15 2012, 03:10 PM) It could have been so different, do I not like orange? What's it like to have all that free time?
  11. QUOTE (jesse2112 @ May 31 2012, 06:43 AM) QUOTE (greg2112 @ May 31 2012, 06:59 AM) I bet they make an appearance. Maybe on Letterman? God i hope not Letterman is not funny. He's ten times more funny than Jay f-ckng Lamo.
  12. QUOTE (wilb1972 @ May 30 2012, 04:45 PM) I heard they were doing the 700 Club. Jesus Christ, NO!! What in the Goddamn hell would they go on that unholy show for??
  13. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ May 30 2012, 01:38 PM) who's gonna have the boys on they're show for the new album? Colbert? stewart? Rachel Ray? SNL - so many, many, many lesser bands have appeared. Maybe if Jack Black gets back on, he'll have the pull to tell LM to have RUSH on.
  14. Once great magazine now irrelevant.
  15. QUOTE (Alexmai @ May 30 2012, 02:25 AM) http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-music-a...ef=pd_dp_ts_m_1 Clockwork Angels is #2 on Amazon... incredible. PS And it costs 50% more than the others!!! Good for RUSH. Hard work pays off.
  16. QUOTE (kkb2323 @ May 29 2012, 02:48 PM) Any show we have had the luck to see, we have always stood the ENTIRE SHOW. We sing and dance, even air drum and guitar.. Our seats have always been within the first 5 rows on the floor. This tour CA we have seats in the visually acessable area 1st Sec. Above floor next to stage 106 Geddy's side for HOUSTON. 108 in Universal City 1st row. Sec d in Atlanta. Has anyone had a problem with NOT being able to stand for the show. On the floor everyone stands. What about the other sections besides floor seats? If the people to your right are sitting down, and the people to your left are sitting down, and the entire section is behind you is sitting down... Sit down.
  17. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ May 30 2012, 12:06 PM) Over the years we've all witnessed how Geddy's singing has matured. At this stage of the game it appears that he is going back to really wailing and letting it rip (see HF)...is this the Geddy we all be waiting for? Agreed, hope he can bring the old stuff live.
  18. QUOTE (presto123 @ May 23 2012, 10:13 PM) He has already touched on many of those things in the past. He said it flows like an 80's record and that much of the record is very melodic. He said it is many steps better than VT and SnA and that he didn't think Rush had this in them at this point. He said it is very much a modern Rush record but reminds you of an 80's feel. Outstanding!!
  19. QUOTE (Joesaracer @ May 25 2012, 06:45 AM) http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&...hya8qa6XtpLgW9g This makes the wait nearly unbearable EDIT: Come on, snowdog2112, pick up your game! Great read, my takeaway is that there's a lot of new Rush on this record -- moods, sounds, we've never heard before, but may remind of something we can't quite place. And, I like the bit about recording the sounds of L.A. outside his hotel room.
  20. QUOTE (beherit @ May 26 2012, 02:09 PM) Old and irrelevant news, my friend. You know, if some magazine or organization shit on my friends or someone I'd admire, I would take it personally. Rolling Stone 1290 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10104 - 0298 (212) 484-1616 letters@rollingstone.com RUSH has got a new album and tour coming out, proper and well-deserved placement in this RS list might have helped sell a few more tickets. To not include MP is ignorance on the part of the younger 'editors' (failed musicians)
  21. QUOTE (jesse2112 @ May 26 2012, 07:49 AM) QUOTE (Snaked @ May 25 2012, 11:10 PM) QUOTE (Gilbertk @ May 25 2012, 10:03 PM) A tour every 2 years or so... oh yeah MAJOR overkill S&A - 07/08 TM - 10/11 CA - 12/13 They've toured 6 of the last 7 years. I'm not complaining just stating the fact that the lackluster sales have a bit to do with over saturation. Look at bands like Styx or Def Leppard they tour every summer (literally) and sometimes come around multiple times a year. They seem to get venues close to capacity That's because they tour with Loverboy and Joan Jett...
  22. Closer to the Heart used to be standard. Why does everyone crap on it now?
  23. QUOTE (KevinDallas @ May 26 2012, 12:57 PM) Imagine if the crowd was all dressed in Steampunk clothes. Check out this website: http://www.steampunkemporium.com/steam.php I'm ordering boots and an aviator helmet.
