  1. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Oct 9 2012, 10:52 PM) If you got them for free and you really don't want them, why not donate them to a Rush fan? That's what I would do. Rush fans typically have a great sense of community
  2. QUOTE (tripdad @ Oct 9 2012, 04:02 PM) Still no swag for me. However, I did leave a hoodie by accident in the hotel room in Chicago when we checked out on September 16th. Two weeks later I called and they shipped it to me. So I have at least received some swag from my VIP experience. Albeit I already owned it!! Yeah, the Chicago check-out on the 16th was a bummer for me too! Had to drive all the way home to Madison, WI (and back to work and college classes). This after the Indy & chicago shows....I was so bummed out!!! I'm glad to hear that you didn't lose your hoodie! I would have just died not knowing if they would find it!!
  3. QUOTE (thirteen @ Oct 8 2012, 05:57 AM) Hi all, first up a brief intro: I'm an Australian and Rush have been a huge part of my life for over 20 years - ever since, as a teenager, my head near well exploded in awe listening to Freewill. I have drawn inspiration and strength from their music and their integrity for years. So anyhow, I am now going to fly 14 hours from Sydney to Anaheim and make my life long dream come true. Everything is booked (flights, hotel, Rush tickets). It's not going to hit me until I'm there, but I know I'm going to be so emotional and tear up...and then explode with joy and rock out for the best couple of hours of my life. There was no way I could live with myself if I never saw them in concert. Get ready to be blown away!! Hope you have a safe trip!!
  4. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Oct 9 2012, 12:09 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ Oct 9 2012, 11:09 AM) There will be no R40. That would mean Rush is repeating itself. What is it that they never do? Repeat themselves. No R40. It's cheesy anyway. What is it that actually bothers you? Is it the title R40? Cause at this point, thats all we have to go by. We would gladly call it something else if you'd like? Choose Wisely: The 40 Years Gone Tour The Arthritic Joint Juice Tour The Post Clockwork Angels Tour, Tour The Grab the Money and Run Tour The They'll Complain About this Setlist 2 Tour The Forget the Seventies Tour The 2112 - 98 Tour The All Instrumental (But we'll sing during the few songs that have lyrics) Tour The Where's my Voice Tour The Leave Those Songs behind Tour The Bimbo Tour The Main Honkey Business Tour (TM would like this one) The Mal-Wear Tour AKA(The They played in Depends Tour) A Farewell to Fans Tour I don't know but The R40 Tour is starting to sound pretty damn good about now. Nice choices....
  5. QUOTE (goose @ Oct 4 2012, 09:39 PM) You're doing good work, bud! Yep, Chris is 'da man!! Saw the kit in Chicago at Vic's Drum shop on 9/15 before the show at United Center! Gave me goosebumps knowing that Neil played it! The kit owner is one lucky dude!! Go check it out!!!!! Well worth It!! Joan Marie (The WI License plate set fan)
  6. QUOTE (EagleMoon @ Oct 3 2012, 08:43 PM) I haven't gotten my swag yet and my first show was 3 weeks ago. Sucks. Yep, very annoying to say the least!! I want my stuff already!!!!
  7. QUOTE (Middletown @ Oct 3 2012, 08:04 PM) I received my confirmation email from VIP Nation at 12:04:33 on tix that went on sale at noon. Philly show at Wells Fargo Center. Taking my 12 year old daughter to her second Rush concert. Her first concert ever was Time Machine Tour (raising her right). Her old man's first concert ever was 1984 Grace Under Pressure tour at the Philly Spectrum. The kid is a Rushhead. Based on what I'm reading here, I cannot wait. Unfortunately, you guys have really raised my expectations. I'm thinking 1st 3 rows now. I will report back on 10/13. P.S. The 80's setlist rules! Middletown is my favorite Rush tune ever! If they keep the same cycle, I should get to see it! Nothin better! Good luck with the VIP seats! Please let us know how next Friday turns out. I had 4th row in Indy (4:30 pm checkout) and 14th row in Chicago (12:05 pm checkout). Indy is a smaller venue (less demand?) than Chicago so I can understand the difference in my seats. Both shows were awesome! Thinking of adding Montreal and Newark to my list...
  8. QUOTE (MiddletownDream @ Oct 3 2012, 08:40 PM) I ordered the "Clockwork Angels" tour hoodie from LiveNation (Not available on tour or elsewhere according to them, the one that was available alongside the VIP tour package (I purchased just the hoodie.) I ordered it on June 27th and they said that it may or may not arrive before the date of the show, October is here and I have not received anything. Has anybody else ordered one of these? received it or not? https://v2.iloveallaccess.com/tours/rush/ru...30c53c8VwD2AGRv I got both of my hoodies just before I left WI on 9/11 for my first CA show in Indy on 9/13. I had purchased VIP packages for Indy and Chicago with hoodies back in May! Not sure why it's taking them so long to send out everyone's hoodies and VIP swag? Haven't received my swag yet! Per my other post in another thread about VIP swag/hoodies , they want you to spend more $$ at the merch table at the show venues....Nice......
  9. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Oct 1 2012, 02:59 AM) We keep spraying this stuff around the Forum but it never seems to last.... Time for a new application? http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd103/laserspray/internet%20stuff/26315.jpg
  10. QUOTE (Tarkus406 @ Sep 30 2012, 09:36 PM) QUOTE (Prattster @ Sep 30 2012, 05:34 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Sep 30 2012, 06:24 PM) Feed me instead! What do you eat? Ferrets and English teachers. Interesting diet there...??
  11. QUOTE (Jomboni @ Sep 27 2012, 03:10 PM) Your first guess was correct, it's not the band selling them, it's people who have won them or got them through some connection to the band, trying to make a quick buck. That's disgusting! Sure, I'd like to meet the guys to show my appreciation for their timeless music but not in that way!! People can be so self-centered these days!!! It's all about making a quick buck or two and who really cares?
  12. QUOTE (presto123 @ Sep 26 2012, 03:33 AM) I felt the same way even after I bought and digested the CA record. I was so excited for months leading up to the release and it was everything I hoped it would be but I guess now that some of the excitement has wore off I'm wondering if that's the last record I can look forward to. I think at this stage I look forward to record releases more than concerts although the Indy show was fabulous I must say. Yeah, Indy was great! Nice smaller venue! Hope it's a stop on the 2nd leg as well! If so, I'm there!!
  13. QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Sep 25 2012, 03:01 PM) QUOTE (TheWK90 @ Sep 25 2012, 01:18 PM)PCD (post concert depression) I got it BAD.... Everytime I see them in concert.....when it's over, I sink down LOW..... Yeah, me too! The only Rx... More shows!!!! Thinking of adding some before next leg! The ramen noodles are mighty tasty!!!!
  14. Shows in Indy and Chicago were done by 10:45 pm. Is there some sort of penalty if they go past 11 pm? The ushers were fairly quick in hustling everyone out of there, especially in Chicago!
  15. QUOTE (robertrobyn @ Sep 25 2012, 07:52 PM) So I went buy the Live nation address I had from a previous item ordered. It is in Rancho Cordova about 1 mile from my office. It is a 300,000 sf warehouse full of merchandise. I played dumb and acted like I was looking for a special business and started talking with the lady. She was real nice and said this where concert shirts and sports shirt orders are fullfilled. She also said that they were real busy sending out orders for concert shirts. Wall to wall warehouse full of sports and concert stuff. Was pretty cool to see it. We should be getting our orders soon!!! You mean by Xmas? I hope she's right...took 'em long enough! Thanks for checking things out for us!
  16. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Sep 21 2012, 08:16 PM) This was an unmitigated failure last tour... Im surprised its not improved this tour. Swag late, missing items, etc... This was supposed to make you feel BETTER about overpaying for seats, not worse Yeah, apparently no accountant's around to watch over everything!? Revenues recognized when earned..okay, my shows are done, where's my stuff?????????????????? (Maybe they need an Accountant??...I'm not willing to move to California though...)
  17. QUOTE (StanGetz @ Sep 21 2012, 12:31 AM) QUOTE (LittleRed @ Sep 19 2012, 07:20 PM) I was a tad frustrated with the couple behind me who talked loudly through a few songs at the beginning. And the guy in front of me kept getting up to go get beer. To me, why would you want to miss a second talking or going for beer? An alcoholic cares more about his or her beer than the greatness of Rush. A non-alcoholic Rush fan is more likely to get his or beer before the show and at intermission so none of the show will be missed. For me, it's celebratory beers only after the show is done! I'm not missing a second of the show!! I don't understand how you can go into a show drunk and/or high??
  18. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Sep 20 2012, 10:21 PM) Flood in Manhattan, Sep 1960 http://i.imgur.com/xz2uU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TOTFE.jpg Okay, who left the faucet running?? Never realized that Manhattan could flood like that? Major water main break or results from a bad weather storm?
  19. QUOTE (Mara @ Sep 20 2012, 10:20 PM) I love my Spinbrush. But you just know that probably every emergency room in the country has had at least one person come in needing to have an electric toothbrush removed from a part of the body that does not feature teeth. Electric for me per Dentist's orders....Special Rx Flouride toothpaste as well....
  20. QUOTE (presto123 @ Sep 20 2012, 11:56 PM) I hope they record this show soon for DVD and don't wait until next summer. The boys are on fire right now and Ged's voice sounds great. Yes, they are on fire that's for sure! I'm guessing that Toronto will be the DVD city, but I could be wrong!
