  1. kinda looks like a cat and a chimp got it on about a zillion years back, and this creature was the result !! Pretty cool lookin' animal though.
  2. Absolute pure garbage...not worth watching for 5 seconds, let alone 30 mins. or an hr.
  3. Those are great shots! Looks like most were taken in the 1910-1930 era... Thanks for posting those. My grandparent's were living not far from NYC, at that time.
  4. Way too young to be dieing..did he star with his dad in a couple of those Rocky flick's back in the late 70's/early 80's ?? Or was that just somebody playin' a part? RIP
  5. 1968 Dodge hippy fan--red with bitchin' rim's and fat tires. (hand me down from my parent's, when I got my license in early '76'. My dad helped me redo the inside..it was a bachelor pad on wheels, when we got done..complete with carpeting on the ceiling and walls and floor, with a state-of-the-art killer sound system. 4 big speaker's-2 in the front and 2 in back.It was awesome!! lost count of all the cali girl's I shagged in the back of that ride!!!) 1988 Toy truck--Blue with a white shell. Great work truck. Totaled in 2000...I was seriously bummed. I thank God I wasn't killed. 2001 Red toy tacoma pre-runner truck with a black bed-liner. Rides extremely high, because of the big tires. --Great work truck also. Still goin' strong! This one makes up for the totaled one...and then some!

John Wayne..? Yeah Babydoll , good ol american icon the rough and tough John Wayne. In a movie career that spanned 50 years from 1926-76, Wayne definitely made some classics , needless to say. The one and only... Yep no doubt...a real legendary actor. Me and my dad used to sail ( my dad owned a 22 ft.sailboat) by John Wayne's mansion in Newport beach California, back in the mid 70's..His mansion was right on newport harbor, not too far from coast highway. Ol' John had this huge luxury ship docked at his dock..it was completely unreal! The boat was jaw-droping!! Didn't discover until recently that him and my dad were distant cousin's. If I had known back then, I would'a said," Hey, cousin duke..can ya loan me a couple mill???"
  7. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jul 11 2012, 06:23 AM) I find it fascinating to a fault. I used to work with an Irish guy (meaning he was born and raised in Ireland, has the accent, etc...) who thought it was silly that so many Americans claim to be Irish at all. He's thinking is that unless you were born and raised in Ireland by two Irish parents, you are not Irish. I see his point as well. And of all the possible ancestry that Americans have, it's those with Irish ancestors that seem to flaunt their "Irishness" (or their version of it). Well, If you were born in America, but have an Irish last name, you are an American of Irish descent...and you are definitely part Irish. Your friend is full of Bull sheet..Not Irish?? That's laughable!!

Funny that you say that...was in a bar with a close Irish friend of mine when this idiot from Philly (who we knew through connections) came up to us and introduced himself to my buddy. The idiot was using an Irish accent (despite having a complete American accent) when he spoke. One of the first things the idiot asked was, "Have you seen the cliffs of Ireland?" with that badly faked accent. I was embarassed FOR him. The only reason my friend tolerated him was because that idiot kept buying him pints JUST because he was Irish. Shit, I should've said I was from Cork too. http://thelosangelesbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/IrishIdiot-300x277.jpg Somebody needs to tell this Irish dude that speed kills..... Looks like he's seriously flyin' or fryin' !!!!
  9. Wow,babydoll..didn't know you Englander's were getting a heat-wave over there? Last I heard you were gettin' hammered by hail and floods! The cause of all that is the Earth Wobble, because of the nearby location of planet X in the solar system , which will cause extensive calamity all over the world, in the not too distant future...heck, it's already happening..you just dont know about it, because the govenment's and media's of the world want to keep the people of the world, in the dark, for their own sick, twisted, selfish, sinister, agenda/reasons. My advise? go to higher ground in the Elp's, away from the coastline's of the world. You want REAL news??? go to zetatalk.com You'll get an eye full, and you WILL be shocked.
  10. Tragic loss..one of the greatest. He had tons of classics. "From here to eternity" and " Posiedon Adventure " Were a couple of my favorites, among many others. 95 is a good long life. RIP Mr. Borgnine

  14. I've heard there's been some insane heat all over the mid west, south and eastern seaboard....Not here though in so. Cal. It's been June gloom in July..for the most part. 70's and comfortable. August and September are gonna be roaster-coaster month's here in San Diego.
  15. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Jul 3 2012, 02:20 PM) http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z437/drbirdsong/AmericanFlag.jpg ....Long may it wave!!! ..Land of the free, home of the brave!!! Happy belated 4th of July to all my fellow Americans!!!!
  16. ...Not a dang thing. It was a good one! Anytime the sun comes up, it's a good day!!!
  17. This is a pretty cool thread! I recently found out that my great-great-great grandfather was the 11th great grandson of Henry Tudor (king Henry V11) and Elizabeth of York, thru their son Henry the 8th's son out of wedlock, John Perrot..so that was kind of a trip to find out. Ancestry.com is a good place to start, if you want'a do that. The study of one's ancestor's is a pretty cool hobby, but all in all, were all just related to one race....the HUMAN race. No one is above anyone else.
  18. Hey, Duck congrats,man... 6 years. Da*n..that's a long time!!
  19. One good kick where the sun don't shine, woulda done the trick. No more smashed donuts from that s.o.b. anytime soon.... You shoulda said,"what? is your pms acting up again?? Is it that time of the month, clown ???" You probably would've got strangled..but heck,it would've been worth it!! What'a LOOOOSER
  20. Probably delivering paper's for 5 years, when I was a kid. That was a very cool job..I'd try to porch just about every paper I could..even from the middle of the street. Most of the time , I got it done. depending on the wind variations, I could throw a fast one, a slider, or a curve to get it there. It was a 3 hr. deal ,7 days a week. I loved though...and the money was not too bad, for a teenager. also me and a friend of mine also used to mow lawn's for a few bucks in the spring, summer, and fall. Anything to make extra moola, so we could take our girlfriend's out on a friday or sat. night.
  21. Geek factor 3: I study the mega-million's winning number's methodically, systematically and relentlessly...in hopes of landing the jackpot aka "The big kauna-tuna " ...hasn't happened yet..but it will..SOON!! I like to go bowling from time to time. Very geeky activity, according to some...(me? not so much.) I listen to RUSH whenever I can..MAJOR geeky activity, according to their critics.Me? No way...RUSH RULES!!!!! ...If all 3 make me a geek, well then so be it!
  22. QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Jun 23 2012, 02:06 PM) I grew up in the 70s and my favourite bands were Rush; Alice Cooper; Kiss; Queen; Thin Lizzy; Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. I'm always going to have a sentimental spot for the albums released from those bands in the 1970's. Aerosmith's "Get Your Wings" - "Toys in the Attic" - "Rocks" is one of the best rock record trio of albums ever recorded in my opinion. Much like... Kiss "Destroyer" - "Rock and Roll Over" - "Love Gun" Thin Lizzy - "Jailbreak" - "Johnny the Fox" - "Bad Reputation" Queen - "Sheer Heart Attack" - "A Night at the Opera" - "A Day at the Races" Rush - "2112" - "A Farewell to Kings" - "Hemispheres" ...it was a magical time to grow up and a magical time for music. Exactly right. No doubt about it...Great time to be growin' up listening to real Rock & Roll.
  23. Yeah, that's pretty low..inconsiderate punks. Back in the old days, they'd get their yard and house toilet-papered BAD!!!! teach'em a frickin' lesson...
