  1. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has more relevance than the Grammys.
  2. Hey, they're throwing a few bones to the fans they gave the middle finger to by not playing any '70s material.
  3. Dreamline, especially since it's in there every other night at the expense of Manhattan Project.
  4. If people don't like the selection of songs they played, that's fine. But the "They're giving the finger to fans of the '70s material" and "They don't care about their hardcore fans" stuff in this thread and a couple of other ones is just hilarious to me.
  5. If nothing else, they'll put the songs that aren't included in the show they filmed on the DVD as bonus features and someone will rip the audio.
  6. I just can't get over the irony of people saying Rush "sold them out" or whatever because they're playing a setlist that appeals less to the mainstream. Not like this is a band that's as popular and successful as they are precisely because they did the same thing to their record label in 1976 or anything.
  7. I don't think the book is good enough to warrant a movie. Which isn't to say I wouldn't see it in a theater and buy it on blu-ray if they made one.
  8. QUOTE (FountainOfSyrinx @ Sep 11 2012, 02:54 PM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isll_WCU6Zw 7CoG havent seen it posted it yet I really like what Alex does with the solo at the very beginning.
  9. QUOTE (Nate1647 @ Sep 10 2012, 11:26 PM) My girlfriend and I live in springfield, but we weren't able to get tickets. We're still trying to go though! Is it sold out?
  10. I wasn't planning on going to this show because of logistics but after seeing the setlist I want to do everything I can to make it up. Is anyone in the Eugene/Springfield area driving up and willing to carpool with me? I'll help pay for gas and stuff.
  11. Voted B because Middletown Dreams is my favorite Rush song ever, but I'd soooooo much rather hear Manhattan Project than Dreamline.
  12. How dare the band that only has a career because they didn't listen to what other people wanted them to do play a setlist that doesn't conform to somebody else's demands?
  13. B setlist is way better EXCEPT for the Dreamline/Manhattan Project switch.
  14. Working Man would be fine if they didn't do the reggae intro.
  15. How dare the greatest drummer in the world take three short solos that add up to roughly the length of his normal extended one?
  16. This set list makes me really annoyed I don't get to see them this year. Hope they announce 2013 US dates soon. I love how in the buildup to this tour it's been "They play too many of the same songs every tour, they need to pull out more deep cuts," and now that they play a show with more "deep cuts" than any of their recent tours, it's "this sucks, it's not exactly the deep cuts I wanted." Like, yo...Analog Kid, Body Electric, Grand Designs, Territories, Manhattan Project...the rest of the show could be entirely Feedback covers and that's still worth the money.
  17. QUOTE (DBJetsman @ Sep 7 2012, 08:12 PM) That's the most bulls*** setlist I've ever seen. 4 songs from PoW (ONE OF THERE WORST ALBUMS EVER) and not even the best one (Marathon)? 2 songs from Signals and Moving Pictures: REALLY??? They are complete dumbasses and will never ever be the greatest band ever... My dad now doesn't even want to go anyone because the setlist is a giant pile of s*** lol
  18. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 7 2012, 09:37 AM) QUOTE (thizzellewashington @ Sep 7 2012, 01:15 PM) If you have an iPhone you can turn on push notifications for specific twitter accounts. That's the best way to get updates since Rush's setlist isn't going to crash twitter like it probably will this site or any other Rush-specific site. The last opening nite we had here, we had over three hundred people in one thread, and hundreds more on the rest of the site at that same time, and we didn't crash. And that was when we first installed the new server -- that server has since been modded and bolstered and is much more robust now. If we even come close to crashing tonight I'll be extremely shocked. Good to know.
