  4. QUOTE (That One Guy @ Jan 24 2012, 12:40 AM) My friend is starting a little forum dedicated to Toyota 4runners, on a free forum website thing. Its domain is www.1g4runner.dogsboard.com So if you drive a 4runner and want to talk about it somewhere, (particularly 1st generation 4runners - 1984-1989) here's somewhere. Cool....Got a '95 4Runner and an '85 Land Cruiser.
  5. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Jan 24 2012, 05:23 AM) I'm so sorry -- I had Internet issues. Shall I just post away? This one is simple: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd103/laserspray/internet%20stuff/miserystickdrawing.jpg Invisible, is that Star Trek 4? Nope...Good pic of Misery though. I've never been able to watch that scene.

  8. QUOTE (gestet2112 @ Jan 23 2012, 12:13 PM) What are the top 5 songs you'd choose to play to elevate your mood with a loved one. Pick 5 songs from the Rush catalog &/or My Favorite Headache that really move you emotionally & spiritually. Just listening to them with a loved one or potential mate causes you to connect & elevate together. If you have more than one list please include. Any explanation or past experience you'd like to share would be interesting. Here's mine: 1. Rivendell 2. Tears 3. Madrigal 4. Different Strings 5. Losing It You'll notice my list has 5 songs recorded in consecutive years from 1975-1982. These were my formative "growing up" years. My Rush discovery years. The period of Rush music I personally consider their zenith/peak/prime years. Hence to my ears Geddy's soft soothing voice shines clear & touches me emotionally when listening to this playlist. Sounds like you're asking for love songs....This is they don't do love songs and even when they try to do love songs...They ain't love songs.
  9. I agree with most. Best ever, no. One of the best ever, yes. Seen it a hundred times and still watch it most of the times I catch it on TV.

QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Jan 23 2012, 11:42 AM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jan 20 2012, 03:43 PM) QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Jan 20 2012, 01:18 PM) I love airplanes so I'm really excited about seeing this. I'm really glad they made a movie about The Tuskegee Airman. The trailer looks incredible! Movie Trailer I hope the movie is as good as it looks. "Red Tails" is actually the second movie about the Tuskegee Airmen. HBO made one back in 1995 called "The Tuskegee Airmen," with Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Lithgow.... http://www.amazon.com/Tuskegee-Airmen-John...w/dp/B00319ECI8 Yeah, I saw that one. I was referring to a big screen version. This one was done by Lucasfilm so the dogfights/areal scenes were really good. The story could have been a bit better, but it was still a very entertaining movie. Kinda figured that's how it would be...good story, great action...still look forward to seeing it.
  13. I listened to it 20 years ago but never really "got it" or was terribly fond of it....For some reason I now find myself interested in Nirvana....Wonder what would have become of them had things gone differently.
  14. QUOTE (RodrigoAltaf @ Jan 23 2012, 07:50 AM) QUOTE (Invisible To Telescopic Eye @ Jan 23 2012, 06:38 AM) I really been into the Bon Scott stuff lately....Love the rawness!!! Love Night Prowler. Shazbot, Nanu Nanu Me too!!! And after reading this book: http://www.amazon.com/AC-DC-Ultimate-Rock-...27319321&sr=1-3, I've rediscovered a few gems of both eras of the band: Overdose, Go Down, Kicked in the Teeth, Rising Power, Sink the Pink, Breaking the Rules... Absolutely the exact same thing happened to me after reading the book!!!! LOVED IT!!!
  15. QUOTE (Enemy Within 77 @ Jan 23 2012, 03:02 AM) QUOTE (Presto-a RUSH fan! @ Jan 23 2012, 01:56 AM) I'd love to participate, but half the time I don't have any clue what movie the pics are from, when I do, someone beats me to it, and I'd love to take a crack at drawing something from a movie but I worry I'd never get the chance to post it! Come on Presto, give it a shot. Just post a pic anyway...It's a lot of fun.

  17. Watched an episode last night (not sure if it was the pilot or not) and I realize I'm still suffering from Lost burn out. I don't wanna watch another show that's gonna have me asking a million questions, and trying to figure out what the hell is going on...Not to mention the ridiculous premise and uninteresting story.

  19. QUOTE (tel @ Jan 22 2012, 06:16 PM) QUOTE (New Digital Man @ Jan 22 2012, 04:51 PM) I'm sorry but i'm not a great fan of Geddy's rehearsed between song banter, i suppose it's functional but i would rather hear something more spontaneous however it's fine, it serves it's purpose so i'm not that bothered! Saying he's the master is stretching things a bit though! My thoughts exactly, the whole" thanks for comin out" and "we got about a thousand songs to do " is sooo done. I agree as well. Although when I saw them in Hartford in early December 1985, before they played Middletown Dreams he said something along the lines of, "This is next song is about a place, I believe there's one not too far from here". Referring to Middletown, CT which was pretty close to Hartford. He didn't say it the night before in New Haven and he didn't when they played Springfield, Mass a few months later....But other than that...The intro's are form letters.
