  1. Happy Birthday, Leenie!!!
  2. Hi!
  3. keep in mind that if you get a guitar with an accessible truss rod, the action can be adjusted. There are quite a few good, inexpensive acoustic guitars out there. You can get an Epiphone (Gibson is the parent company) acoustic through Musicians Friend (Guitar Center) for around $90. Always go to the shop and try out a few. You'll know it when you play it if it's the right one for you. I recommend getting a slightly higher gauge set of strings, like 10's (they have a little more give to them), to take it easy on your hand as you're learning chords. Always check the action, like Ancient Ways said, make sure you have no fret buzzing. A lower action will help you out as well as you're learning chords.

  8. QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Aug 11 2011, 03:29 PM) Women do not have a falsetto range. Mike, while I agree with you on most of the rest of this, I have to disagree with you there. I'm roughly a mezzo-soprano/Contralto, and I absolutely have a falsetto range. I used to be a first soprano (before I started smoking).
  9. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Sep 9 2011, 04:55 AM) Those are fantastic, LM! I really love that waterfall pic - I tried to get that look to the water when I took the ones in Oregon but it's harder than I thought! This is the best I could do: What's the secret? Long exposure waterfall shots are best taken on cloudy days or if there's a lot of tree cover. When you have to set a slow shutter speed, it leaves the shutter open longer, letting in more light. Even shooting on a DSLR at an aperture of f/22, bright sunlight is your enemy. Too much light gets through. Another trick is to use a Neutral Density 8 filter too Ooops...forgot to say thanks

Once, just once, Stephen got away from me at a bookstore, and the minute or so it took to find him felt like an eternity, with all kinds of horrible scenarios going through my mind - he can hear, but he can't speak functionally. Anyone could've grabbed him and walked out, and he would've never made a sound. My heart breaks for this family. 16. QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Mar 14 2011, 11:27 PM) For any MK fans...the new game, which is just titled Mortal Kombat, hit's XBox 360 and Playstation 3 on April 19th, 2011! Also - this will, without a DOUBT, be the MOST BRUTAL MK game in the series' history. The game will be a re-telling of the event's of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3...with a "twist". And Fatalities are BACK, and more gory than ever. In other words - this isn't Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe - which I will admit was fun (and different) - but it just was not the good 'ol Mortal Kombat we have all grew to love. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51fylR5tWTL._AA300_.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51jreL-vmqL._AA300_.jpg Here's some video's from the game I found on Youtube. WARNING : These clips contain blood, gore, violence, and epicness FATALITIES Scorpion's Fatality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4b5Lji_-IM Mileena's Fatality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCXX9QrO-gw&feature=related Johnny Cage's Fatality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSGmSzuYBgM...detailpage#t=4s Sub-Zero's Fatality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A_96lYZgJ0&feature=related Kung Lao's Fatality (from interview w/ Ed Boon; MK co-creator) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz_vrbUCCvg&feature=related Cyrax's Fatality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVh1PTWOEUs ----------------------------------------------------- Here's a new feature in this MK installment... X-RAY MOVES...OUCH! Scorpion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZkKKulM2iI&feature=related Sub-Zero http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOoCJMV_JbQ&feature=related ---------------------------------------------------- And here's the latest trailer for the game... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7Ph1s98pDM There will be a total on 26 selectable players - each with at LEAST 2 Fatalities, and 2 other unknown Finishing Moves. CANNOT WAIT!! looks so amazing....wish it came out for the Wii too...DAMN DEVELOPERS!!!!
  17. lots of love & luck to you today Danny!!!!
  18. Papa Gino's YUM!
  19. I love this show, I have a series recording set up. My only gripe is that, while he gives great tips on getting "the shot", he doesn't give any specifications/settings for it. You know, shutter speed, aperture, etc. I would love to know his settings so that I can play around with my own photography more
  20. Good luck, Danny!!!
  21. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Apr 12 2011, 10:49 AM) QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Apr 12 2011, 12:26 AM) So this Sunday, Niall will be in the New Hampshire newspaper, the Union Leader The reporter, Shawne Wickham, came in on Thursday last week during Niall's ABA therapy services, along with a photographer and did an interview with us, while the photographer took photos. The interview was on his use of his therapists iPad during his ABA therapy. I'm so excited for the article, for the attention that this is going to get not only for Easter Seals, but also positive attention for the therapeutic use of the iPad - hopefully this will start the ball rolling for individual funding to be allowed for acquiring iPads for children on the spectrum! Wonderful. I hope it helps! Hope so too! Easter Seals also hopes that someone will read the article and donate one to Niall
