  1. Foxtrot isn't their debut though... Misreading is wonderful talent.

  3. He admitted today that the accusations are true. Good on him for owning up to his heinous behavior, but he still failed to say one word: Sorry. All this public relations BS about remorse and regret, but no apologies to the people he harmed.
  4. Yep, these are U2 songs. That's all I can really say. It's gonna be a hard listen, I'm calling it now.
  5. Now THIS is a low quality shitpost.
  6. Those were some pretty good shows. Must have been quite the tour!
  7. Sharon Osbourne being a bitch? Of all people? Ludicrous. Also, who looks at a sexual deviant/abuser like Harvey and says "Well, why didn't he do anything to ME?" What a f***ing self centered dumbass. You’re reading it wrong. This is after-the-fact and only speculation. It’s not like she wanted him to do something. Indeed, I did read it wrong. As much as I despise Sharon, she IS Don Arden's daughter through-and-through. If there's anyone I wouldn't want to mess with, in any sense, it's definitely her. They probably break when she stands in front of them.

  9. And adding to the list! December 1st and 2nd - Pink Talking Fish - Columbus December 8th and 9th - Dopapod - Columbus Thinking about getting a ticket for Dopapod in Cincinnati on Saturday, but probably not gonna be able to swing it.
  10. Gotta agree with everyone and say PeW/Moving Pictures, though I contend that you can easily hear his voice shifting during the later part of the AFTK tour. Geddy's vocal peak, in terms of nuance and ability, was certainly between 1980 and 1985.
  11. Visions of Johanna Desolation Row Tangled Up in Blue A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall Blowing In The Wind These are the five best Dylan songs, bar none.
  12. Retirement might suck, but I can't tour anymore because I'm incontinent and have to throw buckets of water on myself while on stage to hide the fact that I piss myself involuntarily.
  13. Help me, I can't stop listening and dancing to "Do the Neurotic" by Genesis. On second thought, don't help me, I'm having too much fun. :7up:
  14. I never got the opportunity to meet Chris Squire, but I'm sure he was a great guy in person. Oh, this is about GEDDY. Never met him either. ;)
  15. John Perry-Barlow and Robert Hunter were incredibly underrated for their time and are only just really getting the due recognition they deserved.
  16. "Best" is pretty subjective of a term in this case. Most of the people in that list wouldn't have been as big as they are without being surrounded by other top-notch talents. Elton John couldn't make it without Bernie Taupin's pen. And really, who gives two rats asses? Of all the years I've listened to The Who, this is the first time I've read things about Pete Townsend being gay. So what, the guy got a rush when he saw Mick Jagger go into spastic fits on stage. David Bowie probably did too. Sexuality is not related to talent in any way, shape, or form.
  17. Surprised that Santana made it and Garcia didn't. Oh well. Wasn't too hard for me to decide this go around.
  18. Sales mean nothing for the general populace that listens to his music. Good for him for making the right combination of pop, rock, and country music to appeal to the vast majority of your average music listener. Really don't have an opinion on him. I'm sure he's a nice guy, probably a good family man. Just really never took the time to listen to his music. All I know is that when he tours, people flock to him like flies on dog shit. Seriously, have you seen the demand for his tickets? f**k record sales, he's made a killing for live performance! The only other group I see that are generally excited for an artist to tour are Phish fans and Deadheads, and they can be pretty hard to beat in that department. My mom has a greatest hits compilation of his that she plays sometimes, but I'm often too busy doing something else to really listen to anything from it. Not elitist, just people sharing their honest opinions on him. Just depends on how much you read into what people post and how you read it.
  19. Hey man, enjoy it! I still go to concerts with my old man, though much less frequently because most bands I see he doesn't particularly like. Just have a good time, get to know your neighbor and rock out!
  20. Honestly might go check him out at Taft Ballroom if the price is right. I like him, but haven't really gone deep into Eric's discography.
  21. Great song from the Van Hagar era, but pretty close to that cookie cutter 80s "symphonic epic" pop sound. 5150 is a great album overall and Dreams really encapsulates that entire album really well. It was great seeing Sammy perform it in a stripped down clean guitar/vocals rendition this summer, made the song SO much better. 3/5 stars.
  22. Stopped by the record store after work today and picked up: Jerry Garcia - Reflections (2016 180g reissue) The Beatles - Revolver (180g reissue of 2009 remaster) Listening to Reflections and it's so much better than my original pressing that I bought a year ago. A bit apprehensive about Revolver, considering I don't particularly like the remastering job from the 2009 project.

To add in some more perspective, it takes listening to something constantly and getting everything to pinpoint accuracy and perfection. I generally don't drum to Rush tunes, but the best method of learning a song on this particular instrument is constant listening and relistening. Lots of core fundamental practice as well, but mostly listening to things to where you know by ear when you're supposed to come in.
  24. Who taught the bassist how to write? #SundayMorningThoughts
