  2. Depends. Some say it's epic, some say it was tacked on and unnecessary. Personally, I thought it went full circle in a cool way, especially getting to see how Django evolves. But I can definitely see why some people thought it was tacked on.
  3. Goobs should listen to Bloom by Between the Buried and Me. That' it dark at all and it's like 10 seconds of growls and the song itself is so unique (reminds me of Gong meets Zappa meets Mr. Bungle) that it's almost impossible to not enjoy it or give it a chance.
  4. Makes no sense to me! That band totally SUCKS! It's absolutely fake, this list (half actual opinions and half paid off). Because there is absolutely no way in the world ANYONE will put Green Day and Meshuggah back to back. It's like putting Bieber and Elvis Presley back to back. Even if you enjoy both, they're just in extremely different leagues.
  5. Huge improvement on the original. Thank you for this. Just so we're clear, the original what? It's obvious.
  6. Wait, did Rush seriously make it? I didn't know :o I'm serious. I don't know how to feel.
  7. Anybody done this zombie run? I'm gonna be in Austin the 15th for the 5k run where zombies chase you and you get to run through obstacle courses and so on. I can't wait, it sounds like so much fun! So anybody been or have feedback?
  8. Three amazing songs from the new album would have to be Suspicious Waveforms, Absentee, and Feed the Horses.
  9. http://www.facebook.com/ThankYouScientist?ref=ts&fref=ts Anybody heard of these guys? It's some of the funnest music I've heard in a long time. It's essentially Chicago meets Tool meets Coheed and Cambria meets Mahavishnu Orchestra meets Gentle Giant meets Mars Volta and more. Oh, and a dash of Rush. 7 dudes in the line-up: vocalist, violinist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, saxophonist, and trumpeter (ist?) The music is groovy and sexy one moment, then jaw-dropping virtuoso the next, then sad and beautiful, then rocking and awesome...these guys are a trip and I think anyone here can enjoy them.
  10. As an atheist... I say let people believe and say what they want to. This guy wants to believe, good for him. This guy wants to quit a tv show and tell us not to watch it, fine. We don't have to listen.
  11. Should be played in Houston, yes. Day=made
  12. Is it being played and if so is it being played in Houston?
  13. Sorry for the loss :( but hey, the fact that she did something as small as get you into Buddy Rich means something big, no?
  14. yup, it's pretty clear from their demeanour over the years and lives in general these guys have never abused hard drugs although probably used more for creative purposes than anything else i think if you're an artist of any description you're kinda obliged at some stage to experiment at least with mind-altering substances of some sort just a general rule of thumb though, probably doesnt apply to everyone. I'd agree with this, all of it. Especially the last part. I don't think they're necessary at all, but see no problem with someone who uses them "responsibly." That means, rarely, in the safety of their home or friend's home, with safety precautions taken and a general knowledge of the consequences.
  15. Huge fan here. Cygnus Vismund Cygnus, Roulette Dares, Tetragammatron, Goliath, Copernicus, Empty Vessels Make The Loudest Sounds...amazing masterpieces.
