  1. Thanks for the info. Math logic tells me my 6/28 tix for Portland ought to arrive in less than 2 weeks then and the 7/3 Gorge tix a few days after that. Looking forward to having themn in hand. Enjoy your show!!
  2. QUOTE (HigherWater @ Apr 12 2011, 06:28 PM)..............As for the Hall of Fame. I've said it before: Don't think for a second that all three of them won't be there to accept the honor when it happens-- and it will happen soon. Rush is the Goose Gossage of the the RRHOF-- At some point it just becomes embarrassing to leave them out. and good analogy.
  3. QUOTE (GeddysMullet @ Apr 12 2011, 04:43 PM) Get a load of Rolling Stone covering Rush! Can the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame be far behind? I think this will be the year.......FINALLY!!!! Of course it could be just wishful thinking.
  4. QUOTE (jmdyyz @ Apr 12 2011, 10:42 AM)............... MSG SHOULD HAVE BEEN FILMED & RECORDED- FORGET ABOUT CLEVELAND!??!!? Tapehead2 on Dime says he did. Considering the quality of the work of his I've seen, it's likely to be very, very good. He hasn't put it up for d/l yet, but I'm waiting.......
  5. QUOTE (starsky @ Apr 11 2011, 12:29 PM) That's great video! Did you sneak in a camcorder or is that from your phone? The sound is pretty good as well! Phones don't zoom in and out do they?
  6. QUOTE (evilsugar25 @ Apr 9 2011, 08:36 PM) i think the video clips are hilarious. I do too. On a side note, I think I was the only one in Auburn, WA last year that got the joke when O'Malley (Neil) poo poohed books saying "books are for tourists". I laughed audibly at the line and got a couple of strange looks.
  7. Maybe since it sold out they didn't feel the need to publicize the show? Or maybe since it went off tonight they're "updated" for tomorrow already? Or maybe that fuckhead Jann Wenner is managing MSG.
  8. Too funny. Looks to me like he's having a good time. Someone mentioned on this site when remarking on one of the early dates on the tour that he seemed in very good spirits. I think at times maybe we all see him as only this serious, "heavy" guy and it would seem there's a lighter side of him that we don't always see (and maybe he doesn't "let out" for public consumption) but that I'm guessing Ged and Al do. I mean really, if Neil was always so serious, could the other two have been able to be around him for 36 years?
  9. You're a good man Tom. You have a most excellent karmic return coming your way. Here's to your dad feeling much better.
  10. I don't see anytthing wrong with wearing a band's gear to one of their shows. I know some would disagree, but I don't see it as a whole lot different than wearing a Harley shirt when you're riding your Harley or sporting a Dodgers shirt at a game at Chavez Ravine or...... Speaking of riding, I am riding the 4+ hours from Vancouver, WA east to the 7/3 Rush show at The Gorge. I decided I would wear my T4E tour T-shirt on the ride over because it has the word "RUSH" in the largest letters on the back of any of my Rush shirts and I want people to know where I'm headed and expect I'll get some thumbs ups on the way over there that morning (assuming the weather is warm enough to ride a motorcycle in just a T-shirt......a bit of an assumption on the west side of the mountains, even in early July.) Will be wearing a white GUP shirt while at that show as it is likely to be hot at the venue that day. Also will be wearing a black, lightning TM shirt from last year at the Portland show on 6/28 cuz the gf thinks it looks the best of all my Rush shirts (along with the red S&A one).
  11. I do know he contacted me and likely quite a few others on this board for research and for that I give him a big kudos. Rushchick10 with the lead to the story!!! SWEEEEEEET!! (Congrats!!)
  12. You have my sincere sympathies man. And no, myself I've always driven/ridden to see the band. Not a big fan of the whole airline/flying process now that security is so f***ing tight. Back in the old days (70s, 80s and 90s ) flying was much more enjoyable.
  13. Thanks for the heads up. I went and downed it at Dime once I read your "review". I've got it on my MP3 player and am gonna listen to it while riding my motorcycle today. Sure hope Ged's voice holds out until the end of the tour as I am seeing the 3rd to last show (Portland 6/28) and last show (Gorge 7/3).
  14. QUOTE (Janie @ Mar 31 2011, 04:39 PM)Those shots were amazing! I'm getting so jazzed about the Seattle show. And still 3 months to go for those of us attending The Gorge (and Portland as well). Much, much too long.
  15. QUOTE (Wordy_McWordword @ Mar 30 2011, 10:37 PM)Great pictures. Glad you had a great time. The new axe of Alex's is real nice! I noticed Neil still has the headphones... Would seem to me that would indicate he may well go to headphones permanently since his infection no doubt healed months ago. If so, it would be a preventative measure I would presume. Or maybe he just likes the sound better with the phones?? GREAT PICS!!
  16. Red, but I'd LOVE to be wrong. . . . . Driven for Faithless!!
  17. QUOTE (HigherWater @ Mar 28 2011, 04:42 PM)QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ Mar 28 2011, 07:15 PM) QUOTE (HigherWater @ Mar 28 2011, 06:35 PM) They need to tell their customers WTF is going on. A reschedule with five days to spare is totally unacceptable and totally bush-league. I don't have a horse in this race, but damn, if I did I'd be pissed. For me and my family, holidays are scheduled around Rush concerts. How can they be going with, "unforseen circumstances?" rush doesn't owe anyone anything really. bush league? not really. personal issues are just that, and if that's the case no one around here will ever know why, cuz it's not our beeswax... and in a month few folks will care or even remember the moved dates... "bush league??" seriously? Seriously? Is that really the way you feel? Are you SO loyal that Rush or Rush's handlers can do no wrong? At $100 per seat, you're damn right they owe an explanation! At the very least, it's good business. Frankly, I'm getting a little tired of the, "Rush doesn't owe us anything" argument. While true, they don't 'owe' us anything--They should treat us with respect, and a short explanation beyond, "unforseen circumstances" is not too much to ask. Nor is a change or two in Time Machine setlist for that matter. I absolutely love Rush above and beyond all other bands. They have been a part of my life for 30 of my 41 years, but that doesn't mean I can't look at a situation objectively and say, "THIS IS BULL#$%!" And yes, it is Bush-League. Just like it was Bush-League when Guns and Roses used to cancel or, more recently, Kings of Leon. I wonder, has Maiden ever cancelled or postponed without any reason given? Springsteen? The Who? Grow a spine my friend. Don't let your heroes, no matter how awesome they may be, take advantage of you. If your ticket says April 1st, Rain or Shine than you have a reasonable expectation that you're going to get a show or at the very least, an explanation. Springsteen is notoriously late often....my gf saw him one time and he was 3 hours late. That's total bullshit and worse than a 5 day notice that Rush is moving 2 dates. As for The Who, Moonie was so f*cked up one time that he passed out and Pete had to ask if anyone in the audience knew how to play drums. Money hungry assholes played a "show" with some amatuer on drums rather than cancel cuz Moon was too wasted to play. Google it if you don't believe me. Agree with you about Buns and Posers......the absolute worst at being late (2 1/2 hours the one time I wasted money on Axel.....it was him really more than the other guys in the band).
  18. I also believe Geddy could still easily sing Fly By Night. Put me down as being down with a live performance of FBN!! My gf would love it too. It's her favorite Rush song.
  19. QUOTE (1974FAN @ Mar 25 2011, 10:05 AM)...........Personally, I can't wait until 2014 for the R40 Tour........... I have felt for some time that the R40 will be their swan song as a touring band, and what a way to cruise into retirement that will be.
  20. QUOTE (rummut71 @ Mar 24 2011, 06:45 AM) QUOTE (driventotheedge @ Mar 23 2011, 01:12 PM) I've got 3rd row, center for the Portland (actually Ridgefield, Washington just north of Portland) show 6/28 and want to take a LOT of pics. I am assuming that a standard digital camera will be acceptable (non-professional without attachable lenses). Any knowledgable feedback on this would be greatly appreciated!! Why don't you just take a FEW and actually watch and enjoy what is gonig on in front of you in real live 3D? Prediction: Your 399 photos will be looked at once, and then just take up space on your hard drive. I may well take that advice and only take a few though I can guarentee you if I did take "399 photos", they would be looked at more than one time. And if it says no cameras on the ticket, I won't likely try to even get one in since I'll stick out like a sore thumb in those seats (and being 6'7" tall on top of it).

  22. QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Mar 23 2011, 08:31 AM)i'll bet you a 12 pack there aren't going to be any changes. currently i'm drinking michelob ultra and i'd appreciate it if you included a beer koozie in the box. thanks Michelob Ultra? Shit man, you're letting him off easy. I drink IPAs, microbrews......like Broken Halo or Thunderhead, or Full Sail, etc., etc... . . . . If you live in the Northwest, you know what I mean.
  23. QUOTE (RodrigoAltaf @ Mar 22 2011, 06:53 AM)I just bought the cap, Neil's new book and a few other things. I like the running shirt they're selling, but the black colour makes it difficult - how am I supposed to run in Rio's excruciating heat with a black shirt? I wish they had one with the GuP cover on it... GUP shirt available here: http://www.rockabilia.com/product.php?productid=95291 Not $5 though. I have one like this but it's about shot so am likely to be ordering another since I'll be at the Gorge in early July and it's quite likely to be hot and sunny.
