  1. SCOG is the song that I cared for the least out of the new material and other than BU2B2, it's my least favorite off of the entire album. No biggie though
  2. I went with Clockwork Angels, The Anarchist, and Headlong Flight The crowd seemed more into them than all the rest
  3. I think contacting the filmmakers would be the only way to figure out exactly what this footage is I posted the question when I first saw the trailer because it was footage that I have never seen Geddy obvisouly knows the camera is there as he makes a gesture towards it Neil was using those bass drum heads up until AFTK so the best guess would be 2112 / ATWAS tour or the pre AFTK tour in the UK I would hope that there is way more footage out there. We need a lot more older stuff :)
  4. They are looking at filming the shows at radio city next year. Still trying to finalize all the dates including a multiple night gig at rcmh
  5. According to Sniglets at CP Rush is preparing a live cd of this tour due in April to tour behind in Europe and the next us leg next summer. Supposed to be released on roadrunner. Right now its just a rumor but he has posted a lot of insider knowledge in the past. I guess like ESL type tour in 81 We should find out officially at the start of the new year I hope it contains all the tracks being played. A massive 3 disc set would be nice
  6. I preferred the A setlist with vital signs bsam and ceiling on the VT tour the most since the return. I think that was one of their best ever even though rtb was played This tour has been very good with b sides which is great Still would love pre 1981 tracks though
  7. I wonder if tce will be put back in. I know Alex stated that in an interview before the started
  8. I loved WMT - for some reason I always dug this lesser liked instrumental. I think it's the drumming. Great fills I thought it sounded a bit off when I first heard it on this tour at least Alex's opening part, but after that it was great and the mini drum solo got the crowd going Most definitely the first set highlight for me along with Territories, Grand Designs and The Analog Kid
  9. Keeping fingers crossed for a Milwaukee date next summer I could see them not doing full blown tours anymore, but multiple dates in big cities as special and limited engagement type things
  10. Anything in particular that you heard? Any certain songs? They are really shaking things up this tour. They should have offered the downloads for each show - so many choices
  11. Should sell downloads of every show like Metallica and Pearl Jam. I know this has come up before This tour has been great in terms of rotating setlists and some surprises. I can see not selling them when every show is exactly the same, but with every show they play on this tour, there is always the question now if they will play something different. It's the perfect opportunity that they missed out on. It would have been great and I don't think we are done with surprises yet.
  12. I could see 2 nights at RCMH where the filming of the future dvd would take place. If this tour has been a success and I believe that it has, there will most likely be another leg hitting all the stops they skipped this time. I think they took caution on this 1st leg to see how it would go over and sell and I think they are doing well. There are a lot of places with large Rush fan bases like Milwaukee that they skipped. It's most definitely possible
  13. Well I thought they would have done one of the "one off" songs for special occasions that Neil mentioned in his latest entry on his site. I figured what better place than your hometown on a 2 night stand to break out something special. If it didn't happen there, I don't see that happening anywhere
  14. QUOTE (FOH Lights @ Oct 15 2012, 10:51 AM) QUOTE (bscsmkr @ Oct 15 2012, 07:45 AM)So no filming took place then? A rumor is just a rumor It made sense to me when I originally read it - 2 nights, hometown show, day off in between, the band is playing exceptionally well and most importantly Geddy is sounding great. I hate that they film towards the end with Geddy's voice is blown Geddy sounds so good this time around because he discovered that his diet was causing problems with his voice. They/he tweaked things a lot before the tour and IMO, he sounds better than he has in the last 3 tours. So are you hearing anything about filming anything on this leg or is this something that will be done down the line? I was hoping for Toronto - 2 night stand - full set list
  15. So no filming took place then? I hate that they film towards the end with Geddy's voice is blown Oh well I'm glad that you enjoyed the show. Saw in Chicago - it was great. Not my ideal setlist, but was just happy to NOT see the same old songs again
  16. I think Monday is for the close ups. Monday is the day per the poster where something is being filmed. Check out the comments in the philly thread at riab
  17. The rumors are picking up steam as a poster on riab had a friend who works at the ACC said at least Monday rush will do a tour video shoot. That's the rumor noe. No other info yet Possible shoots on Sunday close ups on Monday and more shooting in Tuesday. We will see
  18. It will be a 2 or 3 day celebration in Toronto. No tour. Not a lot of big tours from here on out after this tour Just my opinion
  19. QUOTE (Don'tMeetInBars @ Sep 26 2012, 05:26 AM) This guy has some excellent footage from Columbus: http://www.youtube.com/user/RTMorasonMD2 This person needs to put together a dvd with that great of footage. This is just screaming for a fan release. It's very good
  20. QUOTE (Time Traveler @ Sep 18 2012, 08:57 PM) I really love that 2-cam's Garden audio. Maybe that's the way to do it now, combine and/or sync videos from the same show, like the 6-cam Carnies. I'm looking forward to a few more multi-cams with the best audio! I'm wondering if one could combine audio feeds as well? The audio on that garden 2 cam is really good. Where is that source? I'm still Waiting on some high quality audio and video boots that ar3 complete shows Rush tapers always come through with quality
  21. I think it is the reason that they added a second date for Toronto on this leg and I think the set will be changed up come 2013. Geddy's voice will still be tip top and the rest should be firing on all points It would make the most sense.
  22. QUOTE (Grover @ Sep 14 2012, 12:11 PM) From about 1985 on they have been saying that each tour or album may be their last. In an old interview they said that after they made Power Windows they decided that they were an album by album proposition. Lately they are speaking more positively, but perhaps because they don't want to slide into that 'time to end it' mentality. I recall a fan who spoke with Ray Daniels and suggesting a 40th anniversary tour and Ray asked "have you been reading my notes". I suspect there will be something for the 40th, but then again they considered a 20th anniversary tour and then decided against it. I suspect they will do some form of 40th anniversary tour and then one more album and tour, which won't be billed as the last, but it will be. But I really have no idea. I don't think that there will be an R40 tour, I do however truly believe that there will be some sort of celebration like Metallica did with their 30th. Rush will pick a smaller venue possibly Massey Hall and play some shows over the course of the 3 or 4 days with minimal staging and effects - a lot like the Molson Club show they played back in 1996. I believe that is the plan.
  23. So having all these as possibilities is what Alex was talking about with the setlist being so long at one point I wish I knew what the other tracks were - maybe we'll find out
  24. QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 10 2012, 01:30 PM) You're still assuming theres only an A and a B. There are more songs ready for this tour should they choose to break them out... so we could easily see a C and even a D just like on the VT tour when they started rotating in Freewill and then later on CTTH in Mexico, NH and Brazil. For sure there are at least 3 more songs that are rehearsed and ready should they choose to play them... plus I'm betting there are a couple more. What are the 3 other songs that have been rehearsed for this tour? I know Limelight is one that was eventually dropped, but I don't know about the other 2 I think a merging of the set will happen They should simply IMO keep Middletown Dreams in place of Body Electric and add TSOR to close out the first set and keep TS and 2112 as the Encore
  25. Here's a pretty good video of "Clockwork Angels" What a tremendous song
