  1. Yes. I keep it to the left of the hi hat pedal, and is completely independent of the base drum pedals. At present, I have a cowbell on it I hit with my left foot but I've been tired of having the cowbell there and want it paired up with it's brother on the actual kit again. Plus, I had an old LP hi-hat tambourine but it broke. So, perfect time to get a cheap replacement and switch things up. And, I ways hated it on the hi-hat. I called a local music shop and he was like, "Hey, better to experiment and go for it than not to try it." I agree.
  2. The question is simple. Will this work if mounted on a foot pedal instead of on a hi-hat? uWill it take the impact of the bass pedal? Thanks! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0745BNCSP/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AKM33YJGBLTPH&psc=1
  3. Okay so for the first time in years I've been watching this again, and for anyone who has been interested in pictures of Neil there are hundreds and hundreds in here - both with the band and on his own. I have to admit, once it got to the last segment and ending it made me tear up. It has an entirely new meaning and impact now.
  4. I'm glad I stopped in long enough to read this. It gives some solace at time of great sadness and loss.
  5. The Upside. It was very good. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1987680/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_19
  6. I think about you and CeeJ a lot! I miss you guys. I miss the old days of TRF. It was so amazing and fun. The old days of TRF. Sheesh! It sounds like some legendary time in the days of yore. :D A few of us had nothing better to do and never left :P Cool to see many of you old schoolers roaming the halls  Interesting the things death brings about. Long forgotten friends and albums sales to name but 2. I’d say “long gone” friends, not “long forgotten”. But I totally hear you I'd 2nd that. There have been very close friendships created on the board that have continued off the board. But like goose said, this is a wake and it's drawn us all here. Exactly how it should be. This is the first time I've had that 'old' feeling when being here. It's nice.

  8. That sucks they blocked the video. It's just music and visuals, it's not like I'm profiting from it. If someone knows of another place other than YouTube I could upload it too, let me know. Until then, I have some other videos that don't appear to be blocked. This one is YYZ which is lifted from the Medley video. Check it out. https://youtu.be/zT5ukyCsI-8 Try re-uploading it to YouTube. They may block it again but it's worth a shot. If not, Maybe try something like Vimeo. Their free accounts have size limits on their uploads and I'm not sure if your video would exceed it, but it might be worth looking into. It took a while to figure out how to download the file, but finally found it. I re-uploaded it and made it unlisted so only those with the link can view it. So this is just for us now. Hopefully that will keep the video from being flagged again. We'll see. Spread the word. https://youtu.be/-kqYLlVlSJU Nice! We'll see how long YouTube keeps it up. I edited the link in your opening post, too. Thanks. I thought enough to change the link in my signature, but never would have thought to do it on the opening post.

  11. "Some are born to move the world. To live their fantasies." ~NEP 1982 So as this sad news settles in about Neil's passing, I still can't believe he's gone. As scores of people are digging through their old collections to play their dust covered cassettes and albums of Rush songs, or calling to Siri or Alexa to play Rush (which I think is great), for me it's just another day of listening to the band I've listened to practically every day for the past 30 years. But now I'm listening to certain songs with a different sense of meaning or significance, and I can't help but find tragic irony to this song, Losing It. I was talking about this with 1-0-0-1-0-0-1. He found the connection to the first verse, the dancer, to Neil's chronic tendonitis. It became too painful for Neil to continue playing at the level he would demand of himself, and it forced him into retirement. For me, I found the connection to the second verse, the writer. For a man who could have (should have) had the time to write more, Neil was stricken with a disease that left him unable to. Tragic irony. Eerie foresight. Call it what you will. All I can say is that I'll always attach Neil to this song every time I listen to it from now on. Something I never could have imagined. To Neil... "For you the blind who once could see, the bell tolls for thee." https://youtu.be/jEagi9co0Ko
