Geddy's Soul Patch
My all-time favorite has to be from A Passage to Bangkok. "We're on the train to Bangkok,Aboard the silent express" Deddy's 'silent express' analogy portrays the daunting journey of traveling to Thailand.
thirteen
My favourite lyrics are the one's I can related too (at different times in my life), The Pass, Bravado, Emotion detector, Freewill. As much as I could appreciate the 'intellectualism' of the earlier stuff, I could never relate to it. IMO best album for lyrics would be Power Windows followed by Presto.

Eel Yddeg
Natural Science is really good, lyric-wise, but the "Permanent Waves" section takes the cake. Science, like natureMust also be tamedWith a view towards its preservationGiven the sameState of integrityIt will surely serve us well Art as expressionNot as market campaignsWill still capture our imaginationsGiven the sameState of integrityIt will surely help us along The most endangered speciesThe honest manWill still survive annihilationForming a worldState of integritySensitive, open and strong Wave after wave will flow with the tideAnd bury the world as it doesTide after tide will flow and recedeLeaving life to go on as it was... tony990
My favorite would have to be:"You can go from boom to bust,From dreams to a bowl of dust." Between the Wheels, Grace Under Pressure, 1984.
tony990
Was just reminded of another good one: "You sometimes have to listen to, a lot of useless talk" Agree, basically high school in a nutshell too haha. "I just want to be a sports announcer, could you help me to reach that goal?""No you need to learn about National Parks and how to dissect and how to write useless poetry that can't even be converted into song lyrics etc. in case you want to be a Science or English teacher. This was from Grand Designs, right?

This was from Grand Designs, right? My 10th grade English teacher had us chart out contemporary music lyrics and break down the meter and disect meaning to help us understand how Shakespeare worked. Mr Roy Hagar. A legend.

Wow that figures, you get to break down music lyrics while I have to sit in class and take words out of a Robert Frost poem and make that into my own poem...figures...quite a school you go to! I'm in 9th grade currently and our English teacher is terrible! She can't even control half of the class!

And it doesnt get any easier. Oh yeah, I use math every single day of my life. I hate math. You know whats cool though? When you get older and have kids you get to force them to do their homework. So thats fun.
