  1. Well I can't say I'm much of a movie buff, but I do like odd things, thus I came across Fantastic Planet. The strange animated film from France back in the 70's. Interesting to say the least. I enjoyed it, interesting story plus the surrealism of the whole thing. People who know more about film than I do, what did you think of it? It's worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet.
  2. One of the editions comes with a skateboard... Now, of course, I'm not judging, but I feel like the majority of Rush fans are a little past the threshold to start skating, lmfao
  3. Sometimes I come here, and I feel like Charlton Heston in PotA, like honestly guys what in the world is going on here
  4. The only thing that would make it better is having Neils of different ages, lol, I wanna see a clockwork angels era Neil in there
  5. Gonna spin it today, sounds like a good time!
  6. That's me tbh You're a Geddy Lee cutout?!!! Are you looking to have your memory wiped? NO ONE CAN KNOW
  7. I just saw Black Sabbath last night, they've got a young guy on drums, I don't think he's exactly Peart's skill level, but he pulled out a straight up 5+ minute drum solo, while old man Ozzy rested. Tommy Clufetos is the name, like I said, not the best in the world, but goddamn he's got endurance.
  8. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm okay with them having a replacement for Peart, at least for one tour. I love the guy a lot, but I love the whole of Rush more.
  9. I grabbed ACABAB for like 50 cents at a record store when I visited San Francicsco, got Close to The Edge also, $1 all together! :D
  10. Lol I was just thinking about that, Geddy always knows how to make me uncomfortable. No Geddy, I will NOT spit it out right now
  11. I feel like this song is never mentioned, despite it being honestly one of their best songs, post GUP, everything that makes Rush great, mood changes, tempo changes, hardness and softness, great lyrics, all in one song. How do you guys feel about it? Am I giving it too much credit?
  12. Wow. That woman is stupid. Wow. That woman is stupid. Get a lot of that in Downtown Los Angeles, I try to avoid it down there if I can, lol
  13. Say you're at some kind of house party with a bunch of 18-24 year olds (like I said, pretend :P) you get to choose the first song that plays Hit shuffle on your preferred music device, the first song is the one you play, how well received is it? :D Nanook Rubs It by Frank Zappa, unless we're dropping acid out here I'm getting thrown out pretty quick, lol.
  14. Got into a minor car accident last week with friend, everyone was ok, minimal damage, and the lady that hit us didn't have her insurance papers, so we figured it would be left alone. Friend got called today that the lady is filing a claim, and claiming injury. Screw people man, like we're 17, what kind of 32 year old woman does that to a 17 year old who just got his license?
  15. Just made the revelation today, I really just don't like The Analog Kid, I can't put my finger on why, just not good. But I still love Geddy when he sings "covers up his eyesssssssSSSSSS"
  16. Yeah it's very pop-punk but with some deeper musicianship in there, really love them :D How many albums did they make? 4 albums, they're all really great, I recomend Danger Danger Silent Stranger, and Build Me A Reason. All right. Thanks! No prob, good luck finding them though, lol, the only place I've found their whole discography is on Apple Music, :D a good amount on YouTube now too.

  18. My dad was considering a Rush tattoo once, speaks volumes about his love for Rush, considering his disdain for tattoos. He wanted to get a heart on his bicep, with the words "Anthem of the hear and anthem of the mind" circling it, pretty sweet honestly.

  20. Heres something interesting, a band I'm sure no one here has heard. They're called the Return, the furthest they got was playing shows around here in LA in the early 2000's, my dad saw them then and we're in love with them, they broke up a while back but they're still one of the most talented bands I've heard. See if you agree with me, this is one of their songs on youtube, you can find some more of their stuff on there but nowhere else really, they're on Apple Music too, not sure about Spotify. Definitely worth checking out.
  21. Exmilitary by Death Grips, or most stuff by Frank Zappa
