I was out of town on business and missed calling my wife Monday morning to tape it, and so she found a replay of it Tuesday morning and taped it. I managed, at a fair amount of effort, to avoid hearing the results, and got home and started to watch the tape. While Gordon was interviewing Logano during the pace laps, the final results scrolled across the screen. Well done, FS1! Eeeek, the worst! Between Sadler, Menard, Busch and Suarez, there was a pretty solid fight going on for the last 30. I know a lot of people would see those last ten and just see two cars running laps, but I find it very entertaining to watch how Suarez tried to adjust his entry and exit to close the gap, and how Kyle tries to maintain the distance. I wish I could share with others the amount of nuance and interest you can see after years of appreciating the sport. It's so much more than cars running laps. They got rained out last night, and had to race this morning. I have two cousins 17, and 14, that share a car in the Hornet(beginner) class. This was the 2nd race weekend so the 14 year old was in the car. In the main event he took the lead in turn three, heading to the White Flag. Next corner the car he just overtook, hit him from behind twice before spinning him into the wall. He hit the wall directly in front of me, and ended up coming to a rest slouched over the steering wheel. Very scary moment as my dad and I signalled for first aid. He ended up climbing out of the car under his own power. He has a big bruise on his right knee, as it bounced off the roll cage. On a more positive note, since it was the last lap, the crash ended the race and my cousin was handed the win.
