hem
The world of music will carry on regardless of us, with each new generation finding its own heroes that will inspire them, awe them, and speak to them. These things never change. What changes is us.
Xanadoood
Rock will never die, but it may never be the mainstream juggernaut it was when we were growing up.

lerxt1990
Arena rock, and megapopular groups are likely a thing of the past because the record companies can't restrict the artists from reaching the people. That era of rock is over, but rock is not over by a long shot imo. In my town, the arena shows are dwindling, and the smaller venue scene is exploding (500-2,000 seats). And throngs of young people attend reasonably priced shows and know every word and totally get into it. Lines between rock and metal and alt and other things are melting away, so there are differences, but on a continuum. The young bands don't give a f-ck how they are categorized, they just play. I for one think its grand.
