My Champion. as Lyrically cliched as it is makes me smile so much.

The guitar work on this record ia maybe the best i've heard on ANY AB album

Tremonti is taking this album over. overshadowing Myles at times.

Mick

Myles already says he disregards Tremonti when he highly praises his work.

I love My Champion. It's obviously meant to be a little corny, it's a joyous rocker!

Twilight is great.

This could be the best AB record yet.

Tremonti is my current favourite guitarist, I love everything he has done outside Creed. He has such an identifiable sound!

I'll say it again......in their choruses and melodies. yhere is an AOR sensibility however subtle. which i love.

Mick

Sorta like a metal Strangeways

Sorry......Cradle to the Grave......Tremonti showing despite the name. this is HIS album dammit, lol

he just leaped to my top ten guitar players.

Mick

He should be there.

He's more than deserving...he even turned his back on the crap that made his name to pursue his real vision!

I just know Myles is humble enough to love Tremonti taking over.

Tremonti has TWO albums in my top three this year!

i've gonna be honest here. he's playing never jumped out at me on any of the Other AB albums.

Myles hooked me. NOT Tremonti.

he was fine but nothing wowed me.

this album changed that in 2 and a half songs, lol

I can't really rank this bands albums...

Like...

How can I live without any of them?

I CANNOT AND WILL NOT!

But this surprised me...I was a little lukewarm to it based on the first two songs (great but neither hit me like I wanted them too).

I was wrong to worry...this just blew everything else this year away!

I don't mean to ignore the rest of the band.........but it really sounds more like Tremonti featuring AB.

Now will that turn into a problem in the future?

I hope not.....because it easily could.

Mick

No...really not. Myles recently said he absolutely adores working with Slash and Tremonti. Both have even gone as far as to say Myles is the best player of them all.

Myles dismissed the praise and said very humbly that whilst he is an extremely talented player, he learned the ropes as a session musician inspired by others, whilst Tremonti and Slash each developed their own amazing styles because they had a voice with their instrument.

Besides, Myles is on top form vocally!

No ego here. This album is tremendous and the entire band seems stoked about it!

ok being honest. the past couple tracks have lost me a TAD.

Twilight

Island of fools

But it's fine. still a class A album

Mick

It's a long album...I need several listens to make a judgement.

I remember with Fortress I didn't like three songs initially.
