treeduck
I don't really have a favorite. I do remember when (The Birds) came out. It scared the crap out of me. I avoided watching it for many years. It doesn't bother me now. :codger:Where are you troutman?? Where? This is a bigger mystery than in any Hitchcock film! treeduck
Rear Window, then everything else. I liked the birds but even as a kid it didn't scare me. I saw psycho as a teenager and unfortunately, I had the story spoiled for me (I knew what was coming) which kind of ruined it. Great movie though. North by Northwest and Vertigo. Saw each one time and don't really remember them all that well. I have only seen those 5 Hitchcock movies. I need to sit down and have a marathon one weekend when I don't have anything else to do.Did you have the marathon then? How many have you seen now? I do remember that it was very good! I need to watch it again with an eye for the director's artistry? I guess?

How about Frenzy and Marnie? I havent seen Frenzy! I'll have to watch it. I like Marnie a lot, one reason why is that I like Sean Connery! But the writing kind of falls apart half way through or something. It starts out really good but then kind of loses the point. Maybe because it was the 60s and they couldnt be too specific about her watching her mom be a prostitute?? I dunno. I like to watch it when it comes on but not one of his top ones for whateber reason. Maybe its just me, or they put too many ads in on tv.

It scared me as a little toddler, I was freaked out by Tippi Hedren acting like a terrified little girl! Frenzy is really good. Barry Foster is chilling as the killer!
invisible airwave
I've seen only about a handful but Lifeboat is underrated. It's overlooked because it's early in his career and the only movie he did for 20th Century Fox since most of his work is Universal including the Paramount movies they own, with the exception of To Catch A Thief that the Melrose studio still owns. Saw that one on Showtime a year ago which is strange since they rarely play older movies. They probably did it to tie in with the recent documentary on Cary Grant. Would be nice if Tubi played his Universal owned movies since they started playing that studio lately. I'm not renewing Peacock for the year.
