Nate1647
No yodeling to note really of any kind... I know its a crappy video clip but this is seriously the best I've heard Geddy sound since possibly R30. At least SnA. The chorus is almost perfect. N.O.RUSH
he sounded better last night, than he has in 15 yrs for sure. I was shocked
ctbadger
Maybe he's not trying to conserve his voice and letting it all hang out as he knows this is probably the last go-round. Or he has a new voice coach. Preferably the latter. Edited May 23, 2015 by ctbadger

Lorraine
I don't think Geddy has a voice coach. The only one that I know of who helped him out with his voice was the Presto producer.
Narps
Or we're just all finally getting used to his voice now and don't notice it :)Sounds reasonable. I know folks are very forgiving when it comes to his vocals. I really appreciate his effort but I am also a realist and if it doesn't sound good recorded I will say so. When I actually go to the show I really couldn't care less to be honest... :)
gudbuytjane
I do feel like his voice is getting better as the tour goes on, though. The chorus of "Lakeside Park" seems to be the real test for me. Opening night was kind of cringe-y, but listening to Dallas he sounds much better. Still a bit yodel-y, but but he's on pitch.

I was so excited to see they were doing it and then I heard it and to be honest I wanted to plug my ears with something and go grab my ATWAS album to wash out my eardrums. It just sadly didn't sound good at all... :(
EagleMoon
He does sound better than he's sounded in years. He's hitting the notes he's going for even though you can tell he's straining. His voice is not breaking like it was during the CA tour.

Not even close. But he's out there doing what he loves, he plays and sings his heart out and that's all that counts in the end.

There are certainly a lot of "fangirls" out there as well and I hear them say the same things. Maybe "fanaticals" would be a better term?

The word Fan in itself is derived from the latin Fanatic, which is NOT a compliment :)

I'm come to peace with his voice, and totally get why he turns people off. Rush is all about the musical force of the three. I block out the vocals a lot of the time. With that being said, I LOVE his classic high pitched approach. Songs like Anthem.. Incredible Edited May 23, 2015 by Xanadoood

When I go to the show Tuesday his vocals will be far down the priority list probably just below the merch stand. I have come to grips long ago that they just won't be very good while I still appreciate the effort... :)

He's a brilliant composer and a damn fine bass player. The past eight years or so he's really made me cringe a lot when he sings on stage, but in the long run, it doesn't much matter. He's a package deal, love him or move on I guess.

No one is perfect. Not even Geddy Lee.
