RUSHHEAD666
Here it is! I just played my drums to "Play Deep." It's so fun to play! I love the hit tight snare sound and the use of china boys. Alan Jackson is a great drummer. Once he left the band fuggetaboutit.

"No Surrender" is amazing. The song has a Rush vibe to it. Keyboard part and of course when Alan Jackson is playing his hi-hat at the same time he is on the ride cymbal. Like Neil in "Subdivisions." RUSHHEAD666
I've nothing to say in this thread but I wanted to post anyway! :goodone: Hahahaha! You wanna do some "BA BA BA BANGIN'!" :aliensmiley: :aliensmiley: Hey Earl what's happening over there? :ebert: Hey buddy not much! My youngest daughter just turned 14 today! Everything is cool at the moment! How's everything on your side of the pond?Everything is good Earl thanks! And now I'm all ready for another night of METAL and ROCK too! :haz: Is this the daughter who's the soccer genius? :smoke: Hey my brother! I didn't tell you. Zoe is our 17 year old. Soccer stud defensive back. She tore her ACL and had surgery. She will be ready to play soccer next summer. She got into Portland State. She is a VIKING! She will be playing soccer there! She is so PUMPED UP! We are going up there next week to see a game and meet the coach. Zoe is a beast. She doesn't give a shit about a line scar on her knee. She is all about playing soccer in college. She is amazing. She is tougher than me. She is the apple of my eye. Skylar is the 14 year old. She is also a beast who plays center back. She is in the same program that Zoe was in and hopefully she will play soccer in college as well. At least Wendy and I did two things right. Our daughters. Soccer studs but more importantly they are 3.9 students. There is hope my friend. The future seems really bright. Sadly the marriage is turning into a black hole.Excellent! :ebert: RE: your daughters :( :( :( RE You and Wendy. Never mind mate there are MANY MANY metal and rock albums to be bought and listened to! :haz: Hahaha! That's what a lot of my friends say to me! AT LEAST I HAVE METAL!!!aye! And jazz/fusion! :musicnote: :hail: :guitar: Haha! PROG!!!Of course! :hail: Hey Pat! I must be out in left field bringing this thread back up! As you can see some things never change. A year has gone by and whew. Closure is coming. Thank God or Whoever for The Outfield. The song "For You" has brought me to tears.I left the lyrics out for Wendy to read. She just turning upside-down and left it on the desk.

RUSHHEAD666
Yo! I've been listening to "Play Deep" and "Bangin'" all day and night long! Two masterpieces! I can't believe CBS won't reissue a remaster with bonus tracks and and bonus live disc. This band is so damn underrated. One of the greatest three pieces on the planet. Sadly they are also retired. LIKE RUSH!!!!!! "GET OVER IT" Signed, The Eagles "No Surrender" bitches! Isn't that a Triumph song? LOL RIP JOHN SPINKS Such and underrated guitarist. If you Rush Fruits would actually listen to the first two records you would obviously hear the synth Rush influence. But then again what do I know?? I'm just and insane asshole on drugs! I've never seen Rush in my life. I am the ultimate troll. I fooled you all! I love smoking cigarettes and I smoke crack cocaine every night. The Outfield Rules! Signed, "Moving Target" That's me man! I am sure some of you want to shoot me. "It won't be long... it won't be long..... always on the run...."

edhunter
I've played several Outfield songs in bands over the years. Lotsa good stuff. I saw them play a free show at Mohegan Sun in 2003. Simple 3 piece, good show.
The K Man
What non-hits would you guys recommend from those first two albums? Note: gimme songs, not "all of them." LOL The last few years has been a goldmine for me finding deeper cuts from 80s bands, yet the Outfield was never a band I considered going deeper with, largely because I did not care for their hits too much, but I am always willing to give more a chance.
