Not sure how many are familiar with him. I've seen him a few times live, really loved his routine and energy. He was the fat guy getting mugged in the Seinfeld finale.

Every aspiring comedian hopes to become popular enough to have at least one identifiable bit, and Pinette had the "Chinese Buffet." RIP, John. You been here four hour, but you didn't have to go now.

I still remember the first time I saw him... back when Summerfest still had a comedy stage. He did a whole skit about booking the gig...

 

It went something like this....

"So my agent calls me and wanted to know if I was interested in doing a festival in Milwaukee. He tells me it's a big deal. I ask him to tell me more about it and he tells me it's a mainly a music festival with about a dozen stages. Food and beer... I stopped him right there and said 'I'll DO IT.' "
