Geddy's Greatest Lines

Wheels can take you around, wheels can cut you down..

I had a dream of the open water, I was swimming way out to sea

So deep I could never touch bottom, what I fool I used to be.

Summers going fast and it's growing colder

Children growing up, old friends growing older

One likes to believe in the freedom of music

But glittering prizes and endless compromises, shatter the illusion if integrity, Yeah!

An ill wind comes arising, across the cities of the plain...

Christ! What have you done?

I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed

Wind....in my hair...shifting and drifting ( who am I kidding . The whole damn song)

A lot of good ones so far. Here's mine:

The clouds prepare for battle in the dark and brooding silence

Bruised and sullen storm clouds have the light of day obscured

Looming low and ominous in twilight premature

Thunder clouds are rumbling in a distant overture

She limps across the floor and closes her bedroom door

And the things that we fear are a weapon to be held against us

In an attempt to diverge from the expected answer, I'm gonna choose something he yelled in concert as heard by me lying in bed listening to the broadcast on my clock radio. It took place in the section where they went from Working Man into In the Mood (and as I would discover a coupla months later, live, the lights would come up and "search" the crowd):

Come on, St. Louis! I wanna see all your muhuhhmhm hands!! :dweez:

edited to strike-through the song prior to the one in question, in case it involves the culling of conjured memory.

What are the greatest lines Geddy has ever sung?

My favorites:

"All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players, performers and portrayers…" (Limelight)

"…In the available light!" (Available Light)

"Sound and fury drown my heart—every nerve is torn apart!" (Cygnus X-1, Book I: The Voyage)

"My lifeblood…spills over…" (2112, Part VI: Soliloquy)

I know you meant lyrics but I have to give a shout out to "thank YOOOOOOOOOOOOU very much!!!!!!!!!!!! GOONIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!" :D
