I'm been meaning to ask this for a while.

Does anyone know if this was an original design for that tour? I didn't see it used in the program or any other memorabilia I've run across from that time period.

I never saw this until 2002 when I saw the design on the fanclub website and it seems to be around quite a bit since then.

I've never run across it before then so I'm just wondering if it's an original or a retro.

I went to The Farewell Tour (It was my first Gig ) and I dont remember ever seeing this design .

I bought a Program , sadly that was all I could afford as I was still at school .

I was around back then and I don't remember seeing that design until recently.

That's kind of what I figured. I just wanted some supporting evidence I guess.

It just never really seemed to fit with the context of the album. It seems like it could have been inspired by Lord of the Rings since the design seemed to appear around that time.

I wonder if Hugh Syme was involved or if it was just created for marketing after the fact....

There are some images in the Illustrated History book of some vintage shirts and tour passes and they have the skull/crown design!

Page 41 of "RUSH The Illustrated history" has an image of a tour pass with that design. And the same image appears on the back cover of the book

Thanks for the link. I plan to pick up the book eventually.

Looks like the shirt was something you'd buy outside of the venue rather than inside. Maybe the image was only on passes.

I've always hated that design. Never could figure the appeal.

Never been a favorite of mine either, but I was interested in its origins.
