Is there any better feeling than walking into a music shop knowing you'll be walking out with a new instrument? It's almost as good as sex.

You could say that again 1-0-0-1. I walked in there this morning and Randy was like "Werent you just here last night?" and i told him. that i wanted my Firebird and was like "cool, put it on my bench and ill clean it up for you. I love this guitar, one of the best ones i own. I still think I like my Jet King II a little better. the fret board is faster on the Ibanez, but the tone this thing has MAN it sounds great.

Very nice def! Many of the Epi's produced today are even superior to Gibson products. I took a Epi Les Paul for a "test drive" in a music store not to long ago and I was amazed at the quality and sound. It was just as good if not better than my '78 LP.

I agree. I have an Epi Les Paul that has a beautiful flame on it. Better than some Gibsons that go for $2000, plus it play and sounds as well. My room mate has a '71 custom and I could argue that my Epi sounds better than that one. I also have a Sheraton, which is essentially an ES 335 and it sounds better than the Les Paul. It has tuning issues though, most likely related to the string gauge that I use. I had another Les Paul but had to sell it for some cash. Epiphones are good guitars period.

You just have to be careful to what Epi's you look at. this one cost me...$438 but sells for over $800, its only 3 yrs old too. not a mark on it
