Newark show question & thoughts... (SPOILERS!!!)

Question for anyone that attended the Newark show on Saturday night. What was written on the sign Geddy was referring to at the end of 2112 when he said "And that's a f***ing sign"?

I was in the 12th row of section A and couldn't see it.

As for the show, it absolutely rocked, gremlins and all. This being my 23rd time seeing them, I think this may have been my favorite. Grand Designs & Territories were the highlights for me in the first set. I can't help myself...I'm a Power Windows fanatic.

The Clockwork Angels set was fantastic. The Anarchist, my personal favorite from Clockwork, was a highlight of the second set. And much to my surprise, Wish Them Well went over really well.

The overall best song of the night I thought was Headlong Flight. They kicked up the energy on that one a notch or two and it really showed. I'm hoping it remains a permanent fixture in their setlist in the future.

The best way for me to describe the night...energy, fun, excitement, fantastic musicianship...in short, a Rush show!!!

Rush rocks!!!

Hey! I was in the row in front of you! row 11 seat 12

Someone had a sign that said, "We don't have hockey but we have RUSH." or something to that effect.

Thank you for posting those pictures. For me the concert went so fast, it was just a blur. I now have a photo view of what I was looking at

and I am absolutely suffering from Post Traumatic Rush Concert Disorder and empty wallet Depression. sad.gif

I was at the show - my VERY FIRST Rush show!! I'm a very recent Rush convert - just within the past few years. Ironically, considering the myth that there aren't many female Rush fans, my wife was the one who first got me interested.

The show was unbelievable! Geddy sounded great, and Neil's drum solo is even more amazing in person.

I was farther back than you - section 20, but not too far off the floor. I'm only hoping they don't retire before I have a chance to see them again!

Hi! My best friend & I followed RUSH for 5 shows on this tour: Montreal, Newark, Brooklyn, Boston, and Buffalo.

Question for anyone that attended the Newark show on Saturday night. What was written on the sign Geddy was referring to at the end of 2112 when he said "And that's a f***ing sign"?

I was in the 12th row of section A and couldn't see it.

That was one of our signs!!! As rushfrom91 already answered, it said "We Have Consumed A Troll"... they liked it so much, they gave us a pair of sticks (in trade) for it at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn 2 nights later!

Someone had a sign that said, "We don't have hockey but we have RUSH." or something to that effect.

That was our first sign, that we did on the hood of the car before the Montreal show - it read:

No Hockey?

No Problem

We Have RUSH!

I don't have a picture of the "Troll" sign, but here's a pic of the "No Hockey" sign:

Hmmm... I can't embed it, and I can't post it as a link... sorry, you'll have to copy & paste the following into your browser's address bar:
