madra sneachta
QUOTE (Alsgalpal @ Sep 30 2004, 02:29 PM) QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 30 2004, 12:35 AM) Rush Rush, they're good for the heart. The more you eat, the more you fart. What is the big fascination with men and farting??? CuervosMan, could you explain this please??? I believe we just had this conversation... Flatulence is something men have in abundance although we're always shifting the blame. Rather than owning up, we just run and hide, that's better than facing the shame. madra sneachta
I want to pay a tribute to Launchpad67a, whose collage of sound and images has really made my day. A labour of love reflecting a man of impeccable taste, with a deep reservoir of talent that's not let go to waste. My words are scarcely adequate to convey my admiration, my senses are still reeling from his artistic creation. From Red Sector A to Red Lenses, the links are quite beguiling, all I can say is Hip Hip Horray - Irish eyes are smiling

LakesideMaiden
To The Tapers We hail all the tapers, the unseen masses Who bring to us many Rush shows galore Be it in CD audio or glorious DVD formats These are tapings of the music we adore! I started my journey not knowing the size Wanting only the shows of my attendance The volume of bootlegs soon surpassed my hard drive I came to find the count of shows was immense! So on I trudge off to stores unknown In search of more supplies More CD-Rs and a bigger hard drive and, methinks, for the taper's a Throne THANK YOU!! LakesideMaiden
A Poem For My Sisters Tis time I think to write a verse, or maybe p'haps a few Here in this thread and in another, I think maybe I should Ever I do this happily, as I love my sisters so true Rejoice we are the Maidens of this fabulous Sisterhood United in the joy we receive from Pratt, Lerxst and Dirk Solemnly we carve our name in Rush's male fan base Holding fastly to our love, sometimes we go quite berserk So working rather hard we've finally MADE ourselves a place I think we've done rather we'll, my dears, and I hope to say we can Sisters, dear, one day we'll meet and have ourselves a beer Though the Sisterhood was kinda formed to show Rush does have female fans Every day it has brought me many friends, and more so an abundance of cheer Rush is an amazing band, but it's certainly not just that Hell, their musicianship alone is a topic enough for this board! Okay, my point is they brought us all together and that's nothing to sneeze at! Over the months, we'll all wait as they get ready to record Dancing with the hope that we'll all be meeting some show soon We Love

madra sneachta
ChefEllwood, you're welcome to our little thread to share the musings adrift in your head. I was 12 in '76, getting up to the usual pre-teenage tricks. My musical evolution was yet to emerge, I just liked chart music and any old dirge. T'was 1980 before I heard of the boys, The Spirit of Radio was an interesting noise. A year after that, I was truely obsessed, soon I had bought every album they'd pressed. To see them live then became my ambition, I yearned to experience a real live rendition. It took until this year to realise that aim, they've never played Ireland, and that's a real shame. You saw 'em at 11- I'm jealous as hell, especially as you saw Aerosmith there as well. That must have been a joyous commotion. just one question - Did they play "Sweet Emotion?". I was not born until ten days before They graced a stage in the city of New York Playing songs such as Something for Nothing On the tour of A Farewell To Kings Written into the lines of these verses Are clues to my date of birth To the person who answers correct and swift Gets a boot right from my list **Disclaimer: Family members are disqualified - from this contest - Rhiannon, it's just unfair, you were there when I was born Boot list located under the Different Stages board (will be updated soon as well with more boots - and not only Rush either )

The Notorious B.S.G.
Moonie buddy, I do believe it's so You've won quite handily, and she can't say no I researched a bit, even asked for a clue But I was quite skunked by the likes of you And so now I must be kicking myself The answer it seems she gave it herself I just thought to look at the lady's profile What I saw there, it just made me smile Not saying you looked, but boy if you did You'd see it so plain, it was not even hid This is quite cute, I just have to laugh At Lakeside Maiden's bit of a gaffe Or if I'm mistaken, and she added it later I'm certainly sorry, next time I'll think straighter Once again, not whining, just found an excuse To whip out a rhyme, and be so obtuse _________________________ BSG in da house!
