Mr. Not
You're welcome, all. It's my pleasure sharing these. I have a few left saved and may get more in the future. I was sorting and categorizing these, which I'd love to do again when I get the opportunity next. Edited July 15, 2012 by Mr. IsNot

Mr. Not
These are hotel rooms in the St. Regis hotel. The place still looks great today, no doubt. ex http://i.imgur.com/1PjZt.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Iy9YU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2GcTA.jpg

Janie
You have no idea the fascination I have with this era NYC. It is *just* this era and *just* NYC. Gonna do some crazy right click save action on these photos to add to my collection. In the den I have framed a front page of the New York Times from 10/20/1918. My great, great aunt saved it (I spoke of her in the ancestry thread). I also have a few fliers from her younger sister who was in vaudeville in NYC around that same time. Naturally framed as well! Mr. Not
I don't think these are in New York, so consider this a little bonus: http://imgur.com/MW8LH,KBMY5,dQP4X,IXCrK

Mr. Not
Firefighter horses. Remarkable picture for being in the snow. After a quick search, this era of using horses as fire dep. transportation was from 1886 to 1921(?) http://i.imgur.com/bV5uQ.jpg

Probably because it would cost way too much... and they think the newer stuff is much better anyways....Not. Those were the days ,when people took pride in what they made... Now just about EVERYTHING is made in china..sad but true. Excellent shot of the golden-olden days, btw. Never realized that Manhattan could flood like that? Major water main break or results from a bad weather storm?
