Gilbertk
QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jun 6 2012, 10:24 AM) QUOTE (UltimoGuitarist @ Jun 5 2012, 10:59 PM) ****no. **** books. Lovely. Yes, f**k books. Who needs education, the distribution of ideas and the exercise of imagination? Books are worthless You know who has never said f**k books? Everyone who has ever been successful, ever - not counting the media whores that seem to dominate the landscape these days, but if you think they're models to live by... yikes. Imagine if Neil had never read... He would never have had all the influences for the lyrics of Rush, but he also never would have had all those magazines to practice drumming on! Lerxster
QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Jun 6 2012, 10:33 AM) After listening to the cd with the lyrics I am getting the book for sure. The album seems like the soundtrack to the book. Next comes the movie with instrumental versions of the new songs. Rush is doing it all backwards. Even tough I haven't heard it yet, I bet The Garden plays over the credits. Oh, and I've had it preordered from day 1, so that's a big YES. I can picture so much from what we have already, and the music could be translated into an instrumental soundtrack so smoothly! At the end of the Garden, I can see the hero sailing off into the sunset and the screen fading to black, then "Clockwork Angels" displayed before the credits. Such a visual album. D3strukt
2112 could've been made into a movie. Hemispheres could've been made into a movie. Xanadu could've been made into a movie. But they weren't. Who seems to think this one will?
1 of the 7
Both the regular novel, and the audiobook. It'll be my first audiobook - I was sold when they said Neil would be reading it.

GUP1771
I've never been a big reader, but I might make an exception for this story. I'm actually intrigued by it.
Deckiller
The entire Carnies sequence is going to be EPIC in the novel. Kevin J. Anderson is great at that type of scene.
