AnEggplant
Eh, I just think Cinderella Man's lyrics are pretty juvenile. I would agree that Dog Years and Virtuality have some bad lyrics too, but I personally like their music enough to deal with the bad lyrics. Honestly, I actually quite like the lyrics to both Virtuality and Dog Years! I definetly don't think they're as bad as most people here seem to think. Entre_Perpetuo
I always loved the lyrics to Cinderella man. In fact, I really love all of Rush's lyrics up until Red Lenses. That was the first sign of things going downhill lyrically for me, but I really think Neil totally rebounded on CA. EDIT: from 2112 to Red Lenses I should say. They could be a little silly or average before then too. But Geddy wrote the lyrics to Cinderella Man. I know, but I'm referring here to all of Rush's lyrics, only acknowledging at the end that Neil was the only lyricist by the time of CA. Sorry for the confusion.

It's okay, I apologize for mistaking what you said. :)
apetersvt
My 3rd favorite album. To me, it is their best sounding album. Has such a great vibe to it. Something about that castle in Wales. A Farewell To Kings, Xanadu, and Cygnus X1 are 10/10 songs. Sheer brilliance. I think A Farewell To Kings might be the most underrated song in the catalogue. Was so hoping to hear this one live once, but i understand that it would be tough to play both this and Xanadu in a setlist, and Xanadu is such an important song in Rush lore. I give Cinderella Man an 8.5/10, Closer To The Heart a 6 (overrated), and Madrigal a 5. I just love AFTK, Xanadu, and Cygnus so much. What an album. Xanadu
I would probably put it at the 8/9 level. Miss those bells/chimes. :)
AnEggplant
I would probably put it at the 8/9 level. Miss those bells/chimes. :) YES! They really should've used the bells and chimes more. I know they did a little in Hemispheres but it would've been awesome if they experimented with that more in my opinion.
