This is what I think too, there's no doubt it's better.

In my opinion, even the stinky "Fly From Here" was better than Grace For Drowning. (Don't shoot me anybody!) tongue.gif

I could shoot you right now!!! Fly From Here is AWWWWWWWSOME...

He's saying Fly From Here is not as bad as this tongue.gif

I agree though, this is one spectacular album.

I simply cannot get into the ambient stuff on there. The early PT is a turn off that way for me.

Many other Prog releases from 2011 are better and more listenable like:

All Rights Removed -Airbag

The King Of Number 33 - DeeExpus

A Dramatic Turn Of Events - Dream Theater (love this release)

Deconstruction - Devin Townsend

Rites At Dawn - Wobbler

Long Distance Calling - Long Distance Calling (highly recommended)

Heritage - Opeth (my top pick)

Touchstones - Subsignal

Ghost - Devin Townsend

Druckfarben - Druckfarben (another highly recommended)

And that's how it goes.

just one problem...THE ALBUM ISN'T PROG!!!!

What do you call it Ticky? Ticky smoking jacket music for a night by the fire with a glass of port? unsure.gif

It's not insanely Prog, a la DT.

I like DT for the most part. This release just hit a home run with me. The previous two were very unlikeable to me.

Overrated biggrin.gif Just can't get into it. I prefer just about EVERY PT and Blackfield album to this.

I would really like to be able to get into it being a huge PT fan.

Its more indie alternative than it is prog. I just don't consider the album prog.
