In the listening to / currently eating / current mood sort of threads, people seem to care and understandably so - people will find interests they have in common (music/food threads) or empathize with one another (emotion/story threads). As for here? Nope. So far it all boils down to being pawns in brand war, or bragging about the latest and greatest gadget you could afford.
