I can't be the only one who thinks that looks kind of gross? Not the bacon part, but the doughnut looks way too sweet. All that sugar in the glaze & icing will overwhelm the bacon.

A maple glazed doughnut with bacon is a thing of beauty. Yes its sweet, but the bacon balances it out quite nicely.

I eat them all!!!

Why is there a surge in bacon interest all of a sudden?

and how the hell do you cook bacon in the oven without it shriveling and curling up, I just want it to cook straight bacon.gif

interest in bacon has been surging since man (or is that woman) first cut into a pig.

as for oven baking, it works great. just lay them down on a foiled cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10 or 15 minutes. bacon.gif comes out great, and straight new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif drool1.gif

What we, over here (UK), refer to as Bacon, you lot over there (Stateside) call Ham. Now, a bacon "sarnie"*, is, quite simply bliss.. a bacon and soft fried egg sarnie is just (oohhhh) orgasmic! drool1.gif

(* UK slang for sandwich)
