GrandDesigner
I guess it would be the only album from the 50's that I own Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue released on August 17, 1959 My birthday is June 15, 1985, so about a 26 year difference. fledgehog
the earliest album i have is from 1953, Dave Brubeck's Jazz at Oberlin (I have a couple other jazz albums from that year too), which would be a mere 39 years before my birth. I should really try to get my hands on some earlier recordings!
tjtull
I also have Robert Johnson The Complete Recordings (circa 1936). I was born in 1963 so that's 27 years. Coincidentally, Robert Johnson was 27 years old when he died.
ozzy85
Hardly any difference for me. Stone's Satanic Majesties Request and Blue Cheer's Vincebus Eruptum came out somewhere in '67... right? I was born at the end of '66. I have some Monkees records from '67-'68. Unless you count my copy of the Four Seasons' Edizione 'd' Oro. It's a greatest hits compilation that came out in '68 but has tunes back to '62. My album collection starts in earnest around 1970 or so.
