You might feel wierd going by yourself at first, but the second Alex starts Spirit of Radio you'll forget about that for about 3 hours.

Going to a concert by yourself usually sucks

but going to rush by your self is great. Most of the shows i've been to were solo, and i have had a great time and meet good people at every one.

And as eric just said, as soon as they start playing...

its rush...go..and have fun

I really thank you all for your 'flying solo' support but..its just too last minute for me right now and I'd much rather go to the concert and have a great time with someone I know in addition to meeting some awesome Rush fans of course! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif But its really not my thing to go to a concert alone. I'm sure I'll find some video and pictures of tonights awesomeness. At least that something right? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

I saw this tour in Boston last September. I did not feel that it was all that great by my impossibly high Rush standards.

Last night in Hershey was more like it. 10X better, easily. I'm still not 100% loving the set list, but they were just smoking last night. What a great performance.

Can't wait for MSG on Sunday!

Sorry if this is a repeat from the thread on the tour page:

Just got back to Syracuse, New York from Hershey this afternoon - had a great time! Thanks to Digital Rivendell, A-CELL-OF-AWARENESS, and Lance The Shred from Rush Is A Band, Barb from Facebook, Rushchick10 from here/FB, Natural Scientist75 from here, and some others whose names I forget for saying hi and chatting at the Red Robin and lessening the embarrassment of being the newbies in the crowd (our second show)!

The show was awesome from the 17th row Geddy's side - sounded great! What a treat to see Geddy looking so smiley and happy, Alex's funny faces, and Neil's proud determination at such high levels Some highlights: Geddy knowing that everyone had their phones out videoing the bridge in Freewill and giving a look and vocal performance that clearly said "Hell YEAH I'm gonna nail it"! The "GOOOOO NEEEEEIL!" that swelled from the crowd as Love For Sale reached the end - you could tell he heard it and how emotional it was. I nearly sniffled...okay I did. Caravan totally reminded me how and why I became a Rush fan. AND...last but not least...WE GOT THE CYGNUS ENDING on Working Man!!! Why was I the only one around my seat screaming?!?

Camera situation was a bummer...I borrowed a smaller point and shoot because I was afraid to bring mine in. Wish I thought I could have, because the other camera wasn't up to the task and I only got decent pics of the starman.

Bought some new merch - black girly tee, button & sticker packs, socks, lanyard, and I forgot to buy the poster on the end! It kills me 'cause Rush Backstage doesn't have it!

Soooo wish I was getting to another show this tour (maybe if I win the Austin sweepstakes on Rush Backstage)! If I don't see any of you before then, hopefully we'll meet again next year! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Sounds like a great time Carrie.

Thanks for sharing your story!

Too bad you won't be joining us in NYC for the MSG gig.

Perhaps when The Fixx come to the big apple? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

YW! If I'd taken next week off, MSG might have worked...and Dan originally wanted to go to Cleveland. Yeah, I'm kicking myself on that one on so many levels...he the non-Rush fan picks the show they're going to film, and one of my picks is the show they reschedule so we can't go (Toledo). I told him I'm listening to him next time!

Get this...The Fixx and Rush are in Vegas two weeks apart this year!!! If the Fixx only scheduled their shows as far ahead as Rush does, and they were a little closer, how cool would that have been.

Too many if-onlys! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif
