CygnusX-1Bk2
I believe that's the prototype. I saw it on the clinic tour he did a while back. The one I posted is the current edition from TerryBozzio.com. Edited April 22, 2005 by CygnusX-1Bk2

I'm seeing a thinner drum placed in front of the larger one? What's the advantage of that?

CygnusX-1Bk2
Those are called "woofer" bass drums. They do not muffle, they increase tone and create more punch and low end. When I saw Terry at a recent clinic they helped to provide a distinctive pitched note. Instead of being a thud, like your standard rock type, these provide more sustain. The end result is more like a hard tympani.

CygnusX-1Bk2
Now now. Each of those toms is tuned to a specific pitch and Terry performs "Solo Drum Music" on this kit. It is quite impressive to watch. The melodies and rhythms he plays are very meditative.

Yeah, maybe you should see him play before you say things, Terry Bozzio is an amazing drummer, and he plays the f**k out of that kit. So no more jokes about him. Open your minds to other things. invisibleairwaves
I heard about some guy with a massive set that had 2 stools, 3 bass drums, and 4 hi-hats. Mike something-or-other. Anyone have a pic?
