It was great! I love it when they screw up songs! Helps me remember that they are human after all!

I was there! It was incredible! Drove 1298 miles, 19 hours to make it! Got to meet some Rush pals, and had a blast! 1022.gif 1022.gif

Maples, Oaks... The shots of the guys on the wrong instruments were from a pre-recorded video - very funny.

And not to be a dick or anything, but, MgCygnus, I was quite happy that security stepped in and sent people back to their seats. I was in the second row of section 5, pretty much directly behind where you and about 25 other people were crowding at the start of the show. I bought those seats because it meant only 1 row of people in front of me. Suddenly there was a large crowd of people there. If they wanted to be closer they should have bought better seats. I thought security did a great job of allowing people to walk up, snap a pic or two and then go back to their seat, which went on all concert long. They got their picture and we kept our view.

As far as the show goes, it was as good as everyone else has already said. The stage props were fantastic, Neil's kit was gorgeous (loved the color), and the videos were the funniest yet, especially the one after the show with the I Love You Man characters. Are you sure it isn't Pee Art?

*SPOILER*

I probably shouldn't admit this, but, I took so many pics that when it came time to record Neil's solo, I got almost the entire piece but then my memory card was full so... I had to delete Neil's solo to make space for Alex's solo.

It was Alex! I had to do it! At least I got YYZ recorded. tongue.gif

We waited well over 30 minutes at the merch stand but I walked away with the tote bag, a tour book and this tank:

The tour book is great! Tons of good pics.

Did they have the yellow muscle shirt for sale? Also the socks, & shoelaces?

If I can get them at the venue I won't order them.

They had one yellow shirt, bright yellow, but it was a regular t I think. Also, I don't recall seeing shoelaces or socks.

I'm a typical guy, not a shopper and didn't notice them but my girlfriend is....and she recalls seeing the shoe laces and socks at the merch booth

laugh.gif I think they had at least three merch tents... I wonder if they sold different merch at different tents or maybe the glittery disco tank had such a spell on me that I didn't notice anything else.

Do tell what camera your using. I get comments on some of my concert videos, but yours are outstanding clarity!

Excellent work indeed!!!

it is just a regular Olympus 10x Optical zoom, 7.1 MP, Digital Image Stabilizer. It is about 4 years old though and there are much better cameras out there. smile.gif

a lot of the self made concert video's shake and move, yours is not so bad. that actually for me adds the the feel of the video as being "real". Some folks forget they are filming and their camera's eye goes off target or to the back of a guys head or points up to the lights...yours keeps the matter at hand in frame.

Glad to see you found a way to make it to the show, Janie.

We were a bit late... 4.5 hours on the road form Bellingham to Auburn (!) Traffic holdups in each major town, plus it rained, turing the roads into what people apparently thought was a demo derby ring. Wreckage!

We were on the aisle on the 19th row, Alex's side. All the way to the left. The memory card on the camera was full and didn't erase, so no pics! ...Talk about a totally different vibe from the Gorge show in '08... Rush has a sense of humor, but this felt even more relaxed. The vibe was kinda like if you could go to one of their houses and watch them jam on a good night.

To anyone who think's Alex's playing style has slowed down with age... this show was mindblowing. It's hard to do when everyone in the band is a virtuoso player, but I think he ran with it that night. Not to take anything away form Geddy and Neil, either. I'm glad the camera crew is pretty in tune with showcasing them showing their chops. I particularly loved the acoustic segue into Closer To the Heart. So awesome.

Yes, I know I'm a total Rush fan and I would probably be happy watching them belch Happy Birthday. It's so good to see them thrive and not just be a nostalgia act.

I'm glad I made it too. The entire time I was at the show I kept thinking, "I almost missed this!?"

Seattle traffic is nothing short of a nightmare. My friend drove, he's great, I like him but getting in a car with him... he drives Dukes of Hazzard style. The car literally caught air a few times I think. We made it from Seattle to Auburn in about 10.5 minutes.
