So you'll pay how much for three dudes with electric equipment? But only 10 -15 bucks for a full orchestra? Hmm.  tongue.gif

I grew up going to concerts in the 80's and paid $10 - $15 for concerts tops. Paying more than that just seems ridiculous, and usually concerts are MUCH more than that, the cost of concerts going up exponentially higher than inflation has. It should be around $25, but it's far higher. Even around my town, seeing a no-name band in a little tiny club or at some tiny rented hall is $15. You've got to be kidding me.

For me to pay $50 for crappy seats to see someone, I have to really want to see them, to DESPERATELY want to see them.

I once saw John Williams conduct the Boston Esplanade Orchestra and perform lots of his soundtrack stuff, particularly Star Wars. (The show was called "A Tribute to Star Wars" or some such shit.) We were on the lawn, tix were only about $10, and it was cool.

I saw pretty much the same show @ Constitution Hall (or Constipation Hall as we called it) years ago when I was a kid and my Father and our family were stationed at Bolling AFB (Dad did 22 yrs regular Air Force and was a Singing Sergeant for 11 of them just outside of Washington, DC). This was a few years after Star Wars had been released. John Williams conducted but I can't remember the name of the orchestra. They projected scenes from Star Wars on a big screen behind the orchestra.

I've heard the SW concert is very much worth the money if you enjoy the music from the six films. Quite an experience according to the few friends of mine who have seen it. I've not had the opportunity just yet, but it comes highly recommended.

I'm a huge fan of the music in all six films. I know the default is to praise the original trilogy in this department as well, but there were some stunning themes written for the prequels as well. So glad it's all represented live.

Of course there was! If you argue that Revenge of the Sith was in any way "shit" you have to be the worlds biggest idiot.

Are you talking about the movie or the soundtrack?

And you are aware that if you rearrange the letters in Sith you get, well... tongue.gif

In terms of soundtracks, while the soundtracks to the prequels might not be as legendary as the original movies, that might just be me having a hard time separating the soundtracks from an inferior trilogy of movies to the originals.

I meant the prequel scores.
