I used to be TERRIFIED of ANY spider. Even the almost microscopic jumping spiders....now, I just watch 'em. Knowing that big-ol' HUGE me scares them a TON more than they can EVER scare me. This does NOT mean I don't RESPECT them! If I ever got a tatoo, I've already got the pic I'd use. It is a spiderling of an Asian Tarantula that had cool markings....here it is: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Me%20stuff/Spiders-%20spiderling%20Tarantula%20for%20%20tattoo%20enlarged.jpg

That is a beautiful spider but I only likes them in photos. Got enough of the big hairy wolf spiders over here.

Actually, arachnids are in the Arthropod family, same as a bunch of crustaceans, such as Lobsters, sowbugs[pill bugs] and centipedes etc. Bugs {insects} have only 6 legs.

Sorry, that's just OCD part of my Brain's make-up. [not cosmetic, either] Now you know where I get that strangeness...

I respect them too, about a million miles away from them! :o (but they're still beautiful - tarantulas - but oh so fragile, the poor things.... :( )

We left on our weeklong summer shutdown vacation, and even though I left a ton of crickets and water, he died from whatever reason and the crickets ate HIM. My niece on my brother's side watched them after that..... This one is a more 'alert' type, not like Chango, which are usually pretty docile...Tigger was more 'alert' also....
