Fridge Posted November 9, 2009 Share Posted November 9, 2009 Jayes thread motivated me to post some of my own live "efforts" Essentially we are a bunch of mates who started jamming together occasionally earlier this year. We've played a few pub gigs locally under the name "Fortunate Son". It's not really a serious project and is not my "main" band but it is fun nonetheless.....Just covers the now i am afraid, but that may change if I can get the bloody time to get my ideas sorted! Sound is OK, but video shot in Dark-o-Vision I'm afraid. Still, it gives you the general idea... I run it in stereo into the dual returns of a crate powerblock then into the cab only of a Laney Richter R4 Bass Combo, bypassing it's pre and power amps completely. The 15" speaker gives a nice fatness to the tone I think. I do have a Zoom G9 which is a great pedal, but the GT%8 is just thast bit more versatile, so went with it. You're right the guitar is an Ernie Ball Musicman Silhouette, which is a great bit of kit. Loads of tonal options and plays like a dream... I'm running out of clever login names, hence the current one. Any chance you'll have vid of your main band up soon? Not that Fortunate Son isn't plenty good, but I am curious.
