What sitcom from the 70's would work today

I think the Rockford Files would work today if it was updated to modern times. I still love the show, but it's very dated.

 

For instance the suits Jim wears. biggrin.gif

 

and...

 

 

$200 a day would only pay for lunch and gas! laugh.gif

Gomer Pyle!

 

I always thought they should make a Gomer Pyle movie starring Jim Carey. All you would need in the trailer is Carey saying, "Suprise Suprise Suprise!" I thought that show was hillarious when I was a kid.

I'm watching a lot of 70's television lately and it was so much better back then. Shame it's not like that anymore.
