Well, that was true of the Drama lineup as well. Steve, Chris, and Alan, plus Geoff and Trevor.

True, but at least then they were making original music.

 

 

I guess it's personal preference. Some would have rather have some semblance of Yes than no Yes. To me it's not enough to want to see them. Not to mention the fact that I haven't been interested in their music since the early 80's...

Didn't Jon Anderson say something years ago something like. "There will always be a yes, 50 years from now, when we are all dead and gone there will still be a yes, as long as there are people out there with the talent and have the musicianship.....yada yada yada"

 

I recall Jon saying something to this effect years ago, and I have to say, while it sucks that Jon is not touring with them.....it is still Yes...even without Anderson..

 

 

And I am still looking foward to my tour.

I believe Wakey said the same thing on the Yesyears documentary, and I agree wholeheartedly!

That's all well and fine, but to me they just aren't Yes without Jon Anderson. If people are excited about this and want to see them, far be it from me to try and dissaude anyone. I hope anyone who sees them enjoys themselves wholeheartedly. I just won't be going myself...

I was not a believer. I felt that the lack of Jon Anderson made this show not worth going to if one had seen Yes before. But I had not, so that made it the next best thing for me. I figured it'd be a good show regardless, but I really regretted the lack of Jon Anderson going in; he's my favourite member of Yes!

 

But they pulled it off and then some. It was one of the best concerts of my life. I loved hearing two songs from Drama, one of my favourite Yes albums, knowing they wouldn't have played it without him. I thought the setlist was simply incredible, and I had no idea how heavy Heart of the Sunrise could actually be.

I don't guess I am going to see them...

 

I tried for tickets and they were the very last row of the theatre... not sure if I would enjoy the new lineup anyway.

 

Maybe I will change my mind... a friend is trying to talk me into going.
