Lrigyttiw
I'm burning CDs onto my new iPod, and while that's happening, I'm lurking around wikipedia. I stumbled upon this article about songwriting, and was happy to see that Neil Peart is listed first on their list. Just thought it was something cool. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songwriting

Bonghitsforjesus
LOL! So cool! I think there are a whole generation of Rush fans that are finally able to elevate their favorite band to new heights! Evidenced by RS article, Colbert Report, star on Hollywood walk of fame, and next will be RRHOF and who knows what else. Be proud, Rush fans!!! I know I am (even though I had no influence in helping get Rush on TV or in RS!).

Neil is pretty much the best lyricist, but I think guys like Pete Townshend and Lennon are the best individual songwriters. Now, Neil, Alex and Geddy = best f***ing songwriting team, period. Phil Collins/Mike Rutherford/Tony Banks Roger Waters Lol Creme/Kevin Godley Awesome. I hope you're only including Rutherford's Genesis work, and not the embarrassment that was Mike & The Mechanics. Mike should've bored a hole in himself and let the sap out before he sat down to write that stuff.
