PhilCastro
See me. Feel me. Touch me. Heal me. Listening to you, I get the music. Gazing at you, I get the heat. Following you, I climb the mountains. I get excitement at your feet. Right behind you, I see the millions. On you, I see the glory. From you, I get opinions. From you, I get the story. Lerxster
I looked out across The river today, I saw a city in the fog and an old church tower Where the seagulls play. I saw the sad shire horses walking home In the sodium light I saw two priests on the ferry October geese on a cold winter's night And all this time, the river flowed Endlessly to the sea. Two priests came round our house tonight One young, one old, to offer prayers for the dying To serve the final rite, One to learn, one to teach, Which way the cold wind blows Fussing and flapping in priestly black Like a murder of crows And all this time, the river flowed Endlessly to the sea If I had my way I'd take a boat from the river And I'd bury the old man, I'd bury him at sea Blessed are the poor, for they shall inherit the earth Better to be poor than a fat man in the eye of a needle And as these words were spoken I swore I hear The old man laughing, 'What good is a used up world, and how could it be Worth having' And all this time the river flowed Endlessly like a silent tear And all this time the river flowed Father, if Jesus exists, Then how come he never lived here. The teachers told us, the Romans built this place They built a wall and a temple, an edge of the empire Garrison town, They lived and they died, they prayed to their gods But the stone gods did not make a sound And their empire crumbled, 'til all that was left Were the stones the workmen found And all this time the river flowed In the falling light of a northern sun If I had my way I'd take a boat from the river Men go crazy in congregations But they only get better One by one One by one... Lerxster
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And when the broken hearted people Living in the world agree, There will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is Still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Yeah There will be an answer, let it be. And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

Fridge
Ever since I was a little baby Had the devil on my mind Two dimensional Satan on the wall And the thread would start to wind Hold me closer Move aside Mr. Wilson Please move aside In the sand the circle getting bigger Till it all gets out of hand On the mountain.. let go of the angel And to my mom I ran Hold me closer Any day.. yesterday.. there's tomorrow to say Let's forget it anyway Can you try to understand... What's this mark upon my hand My nose was held shut and my mouth open With a spoon shoved down my throat One little piggy walking with a pumpkin And a mustard headed goat Hold me closer Please move aside Mr. Wilson Would you please move aside Hey Betty May, it's summertime in Jersey Don't you know the kids will freeze Please don't pop your eyes out for me deary Cause the man behind you sees Hold me closer Anyday... yesterday... there's tomorrow to say Let's forget it anyway Can you try to understand... What's this mark upon my hand? At the bottom of a box of five black markers Is a buried Swedish pen If at Thanksgiving... if you want to see me Then you better be my kin Hold me closer For the love of god, Mr. Wilson For the love of god Anyday... yesterday... there's tomorrow to say Let's forget it anyway Can you try to understand What's this mark upon my hand Would you sing a song for me 'Cause I broke your rosary
PhilCastro
Some people seem so obsessed with the morning Get up early just to watch the sun rise Some people like it more when there's fire in the sky Worship the sun when it's high Some people go for those sultry evenings Sipping cocktails in the blue, red and grey But I like every minute of the day I like every second, so long as you are on my mind Every moment has its special charm It's all right when you're around, rain or shine I know a crowd who only live after midnight Their faces always seem so pale And then there's friends of mine who must have sunlight They say a suntan never fails I know a man who works the night shift He's lucky to get a job and some pay And I like every minute of the day I dig every second I can laugh in the snow and rain I get a buzz from being cold and wet The pleasure seems to balance out the pain And so you see that I'm completely crazy I even shun the south of France The people on the hill, they say I'm lazy But when they sleep, I sing and dance Some people have to have the sultry evenings Cocktails in the blue, red and grey But I like every minute of the day I like every minute of the day
eguy
I been around awhile I know wrong from right I learned a long time ago Things ain't always black & white Just like you can't judge a book by the cover We all got to be careful how we treat one another Skin deep Skin deep Underneath we're all the same Skin deep Skin deep Underneath we're all the same We're all the same A man in Louisiana He never called me by my name He said, "Boy do this and boy do that" But I never once complained I knew he had a good heart But he just didn't understand That I needed to be treated just like any other man Skin deep Skin deep Underneath we're all the same Skin deep Skin Deep Underneath we're all the same We're all the same I set my child down When he was old enough to know I said, "Out there in this big wide world You're gonna meet all kinds of folks" I said "Son, it all comes down to just one simple rule That you treat everybody just the way you want them to treat you" Skin Deep Skin Deep Underneath we're all the same Skin Deep Skin Deep Underneath we're all the same We're all the same (Title track from the new Buddy Guy album)

Fridge
Keeper of mysteries River of Tears After it's over And after the years are passing Never asking What about miracles Faith in the space It keeps me guessing With nothing to hate I am lonely And unholy Everything matters A prayer when you're scared Boarded up windows And broken down chairs before morning Heard it storming (God can you hear me... God can you see me cry...die) Handbook of rituals... hands in the air More than a give up... big as a care If you're daring And you're sharing Move me God, can you hear me cry God, can you see me die God can you move me Move me and move me again Out of the planet and into the silence Over the mountains in search of a crisis to find me If it should be Once I was told there's a race to be won Pointed the finger straight into the sun to be blinded and I minded (God can you hear me... God can you see me cry...die) Wish I could whisper how much I need you After tomorrow I might forget to If it's only from a story Keeper of mysteries River of tears After it's over And after the years are passing Never asking Move me God, can you hear me cry God, can you see me die God can you move me Move me and move me again
eguy
I Don't Know [Daisley - Osbourne - Rhoads] People look to me and say Is the end near, when is the final day? What's the future of mankind? How do I know, I got left behind Everyone goes through changes Looking to find the truth Don't look at me for answers Don't ask me I don't know How am I supposed to know Hidden meanings that will never show Fools and prophets from the past Life's a stage and we're all in the cast You gotta believe in someone Asking me who is right Asking me who to follow Don't ask me I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know Nobody ever told me I found out for myself You gotta believe in foolish miracles It's not how you play the game It's if you win or lose You can choose, don't confuse, win or lose It's up to you It's up to you It's up to you It's up to you Go, go, go People look to me and say Is the end near, when is the final day? Cygnus The God Of Balance
One of my all-time, favorite non-Rush songs.... Low by Cracker Sometimes I wanna take you down. Sometime I wanna get you low. I brush your hair back from your eyes. I take you down let the river flow. Sometimes I go and walk the street Behind the green sheet of glass. A million miles below their feet A million miles, a million miles CHORUS: I'll be with you girl Like being low hey hey hey like being stoned I'll be with you girl Like being low hey hey hey like being stoned. A million poppies gonna make me sleep. But just one rose it knows your name The fruit is rusting on the vine The fruit is calling from the trees Hey don't you wanna go down Like some junkie cosmonaut A million miles below their feet A million miles a million miles CHORUS Blue blue is the sun. Brown brown is the sky. Green green are her eyes. A million miles a million miles Hey don't you wanna go down Like some disgraced cosmonaut A million miles below their feet A million miles a million miles CHORUS
Fridge
The time I think most clearly, the time I drift away Is on the bus-ride that meanders up these valleys of green and grey I get to think about what might have been and what may yet come true And I get to pass a rainy mile thinking of you And all the while, all the while, I still hear that call To the land of gold and poison that beckons to us all Nothing changes here very much, I guess you'd say it never will The pubs are all full on Friday nights and things get started still We spent hours last week with Billy boy, bleeding, yeah queuing in Casualty Staring at those posters we used to laugh at: Never Never Land, palm trees by the sea Well there was no need for those guys to hurt him so bad When all they had to do was knock him down But no one asks to many questions like that since you left this town Chorus: And tomorrow brings another train Another young brave steals away But you're the one I remember From these valleys of green and the grey You used to talk about winners and losers all the time - as if that was all there was As if we were not of the same blood family, as if we live by different laws Do you owe so much less to these rain swept hills than you owe to your good self? Is it true that the world has always got to be something That seems to happen somewhere else? For God's sake don't you realise that I still hear that call Do you think you're so brave just to go running to that which beckons to us all? No, not for one second did you look behind you As you were walking away Never once did you wish any of us well Those who had chosen to stay And if that's what it takes to make it In the place that you live today Then I guess you'll never read these letters that I send From the valleys of the green and the grey Edited October 4, 2008 by Fridge
