I must say XP has been the most stable since 2000.

Windows WhyME was a total piece of rice. 98SE is even better than that one. I fee sorry for those who 'upgraded'.

I ran BeOS 5 a few years ago. What a neat OS.

Opps that's what I meant, win98SE.

Big diff between 98 and 98SE. Huge. The non-SE was a ricepiece.

I use WinXP pro, Mac os9, and I want to build a linux system and try out RedHat. My geek guru says I shouldn't attempt Linux, but I think the master fears the pupil might out-geek him... tongue.gif

Hey Indica, whos the pic of? It looks kinda like LSM's & my brother biggrin.gif

I agree, the first thing I always do when I load Win98 is load SE right after. Way more stable. One reason I stay with SE is because the cakewalk program I have doesn't work with newer versions as far as I know. I'm sure I could find the drivers somewhere but I'm too lazy. unsure.gif

It's a pic of me about 5 years ago when I played in Tongue-n-Groove.

Ditto - the DVD Torrent image rocks.

Though the thing locked up on me good a few times.

No I don't! I can run everything you do!

Yeah, you probably can. 98SE is actually quite stable & runs fast.

I will hang my head in shame and admit that I'm running ME on my home desktop. I bought this PC during the two or so month period that ME was shipped with most PC's. I've been too cheap and lazy to upgrade so far.

That said, I haven't had a single issue over the past three years with fairly constant use. Also, I've been very good at backing everything up since I've heard so many horror stories. Normally, I'd probably be lazy and not back things up as regularily.

XP on my work laptop which is what I use most of the time.
