And all last year Big 10 fans on this forum talked as if it was the best conference in the nation, up until the final blowout losses by Michigan and Ohio State in their bowl games finally shut them up. Dread Pirate Robert
Uh . . . I want to make clear that my above post is not a swipe at all Big 10 fans on this forum. I am not disagreeing with you that the Pac-10 is top heavy. It has been that way for the last several years, with one awesome team and a bunch of other okay-to-pitiful other teams. Perhaps our disagreement lies in assessing the strength of the Big 10. I don't think as much of that conference as you apparently do. Sure, historically, the Big 10 has been one of the best conferences in all of college football. But times have changed. Lately, the Big 10 has been a subpar, highly overrated, conference. To throw out a statistic, the Pac-10's bowl record over the last few years has been better than the Big-10's.
