Critique? Heck, if you can draw a stick figure, you're better than me! (And I'm a bit envious.)

Everyone is an artist. Some just don't know it.

This one's nearly a decade old. I don't draw these days (just due to other interests). I always thought that the 'softness' of women was particularly difficult to capture. So, if I couldn't draw them soft then I thought I should try making them 'hard' and muscular. I'm fairly sure I was looking at a comic book (can't remember which one) when I drew this.

I can't remember which art & colored pencils I used specifically. And I seem to have titled it 'Alexandria' for a reason that I also can't remember. Those days were really a bit cool10.gif filled.

Thanx a bunch smile.gif . You got an eye too. Ever draw humans? I've never really been into drawing animals except if it were a caricature or some sort of sci-fi/fantasy-type creature.

Jack, I'll bet you any money you could paint something like this:

And someone will buy it.

Well, maybe. laugh.gif

Texture and color.

It affects people confused13.gif

I can't tell you how many paintings that I've done just for practise that people buy. I keep waiting for them to call and ask for their money back because maybe they were drunk or high and didn't know what they were doing. confused13.gif

I did this drawing back in high school, as well. I still draw on the occasion, I'm working on a sketch (line art really) of my farm the way it was before it burned down that I'm going to scan in and colourize in photoshop - if I can ever get a wacom tablet - and give to my grandmother (it was her house). I really want to get back into painting too...anywho, the drawing...

Drawn about 10 years ago, it's an amalgamation of a comic called Gen13 (or something like that), a picture of my best friend Jen from uni, and the cartoon Aeon Flux.

I thought the kinda 'poster'y - feel worked nicely with Rush's music of that time period.

I'm sculpting this with modeling clay I picked up at a " Michaels" store....it has lots of hobby type stuff. I'm trying to figure out now, how to create a mold of it so I can cast it in poly-resin or something...

yeah, you can get that resin stuff at craft stores but it's only in small bottles.

I go on ebay and search the web.

As for how to do it, I just ask other artists. They're usually helpful and like to talk about their work.

Here's a sculpt I'm currently working on so I can mold a Predator mask for my kids for Hallowe'en.  laugh.gif

What do you use to sculpt with?

I've been thinking of getting that air dry stuff.
