blonde77th
Ok i went to the radiologist & he say's 3 1/2 weeks of radiation so he said between 16 to 18 treatments ........ should start 2 weeks after my last Chemo .....plus i have to have a few xrays & crap before i begin .. i lost another 3lbs so total so far is 30lbs woohoooo ...... There are a few side affects but No nausea yahoo just will be more tired than what i am now i can live with that he is concerned about my white blood count it is 2.0 very low and the others ones are too so i am praying by this Friday they will come up a bit or they will have to cancel Chemo for a week so we shall see I want it over & done with So there we are all caught up now thanks for the prayers ... you guy's are the Best
CeeJ
That's great news Carol! Try to stay out of the direct sunlight. Believe it or not that could actually drop your white cell count. When mine was low that is exactly what the doctor connected it to.When I got out of the sun the following week my count went up a bit. Even if it's 18 treatments you will do fine. You will be more tired and you need to find a GOOD moisturizing cream to use for the affected areas of the radiation. You will get burned so see about getting a prescription for Silvadine Cream from the doctor also. This works alot better than alot of the others on the market because it is prescribed and has some type of pain reliever in it to soothe the burn. The sleep part of it... YOU WILL SLEEP ALOT!!! Hope you are feeling better today!!! Carol

I scheduled all my appointments around my "nap" times. They usually have you come around the same time anyway. Mine were all first thing in the am so I could sleep when I went home. You will be alright... I was able to drive as long as it was early in the day when I was wide awake... Afterwards about an hour after the treatment... NO WAY!!! Thoughts and prayers are always with you. Carol
blonde77th
You mean to say 1 hour after each treatment it kicks that hard How long of a rest did you have to take ? Was that the only side affect you had ? Dr said that possibly 3 months down the road i will appear to have pneumonia but it won't be ........He said they will end up getting 1 or 2 cm. of my lung & that will cause scar tissue ........& 1 in 1000 get a crack rib & there is nothing they can do for it I dunno if i am looking forward to this sounds worse than the Chemo
